BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on immigration tomorrow night. Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's "passion" on immigration. He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America !

Getting the right Info out is ever important.

Last night two FReepers got into a smack down popcorn brawl on another thread. The admin Mode pulled a post after a personal threat was made. Uncalled for ugliness at it's worst. The argument could have easily been solved, by a few simple clicks, and a search. I found the answer in a few minutes.

You're absolutely correct in being informed, and informing others with reliable sourced info. Good information goes much further, and enhances constructive criticism, instead of a quick draw from the hip. The Heritage Foundation is an excellent think tank, and source of political info!

As Michelle points out, here is why (and it's one of the reasons that FROBLs sniff at):

I visited this 7-Eleven while reporting on the national security-immigration nexus. It is a stone's throw from the Pentagon, where Hanjour and Almihdhar deliberately drove Flight 77 into the ground. . . One of the illegal aliens at that 7-Eleven was Luis Alonso Martinez-Flores, a 28-year-old Salvadoran who had been in the United States illegally since 1994. He got in the van and directed the jihadis to a DMV Express office nearby; they obtained photo IDs using bogus residential info supplied by Martinez-Flores. That info was also used on ID forms for two other hijackers.

The illegal alien earned $100. One hundred and eighty-four people paid with their lives.

...As with many DMVs across the country, illegal aliens congregated out in the open. Victor M. Lopez-Flores, who had been previously deported after a felony conviction but returned illegally, was one of them. He and another illegal immigrant led the hijackers to an open-borders attorney's office, where they helped the terrorists fraudulently obtain Virginia ID cards.
