BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America ! |

62-36
Disgrace upon the 62.
Does anyone know where the tallies are?
I'm sick.. 36 patriots and 62 traitors, we need it the other way around to survive as a nation.
If there's one thing this immigration scam coming out of the Senate did it's wake people up to Sessions. He could probably get support now if he ran for president.
Sensenbrenner's Immigration Enforcement Bill Passes the House
Approval Challenges Senate to Match Effort at Protecting Homeland Security and American Workers
By a 239-182 vote the House of Representatives approved the Border Protection, Antiterrorism and Illegal Immigration Control Act, H.R. 4437, on December 16. The legislation, authored by Judiciary Committee Chairman James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), would make improvements in this nations ability to control rampant illegal immigration.

All but eight House Republicans supported the Sensenbrenner legislation, while 42 Democrats joined the effort to enact these homeland security measures. On the eve of the House vote, the Bush Administration also threw its support behind passage of H.R. 418. Pressure from the White House had been instrumental in stripping these same provisions from the homeland security bill last December. In a statement issued prior to final consideration of the bill in the House, the White House stated that H.R. 418 would strengthen the ability of the United States to protect against terrorist entry into and activities within the United States.

At the very least, Sessions should replace Frist.
I made a Thank You call to Sessions's Washington office just before the final vote.
Onward, hey?
That's the key, SB. The Plan is for us to NOT survive as a nation, but they sorely underestimate the American People.
Much is being done at local levels to compensate for federal negligence, and more will be done.
I'm guessing Minuteman phones are ringing off the hook right now and mailboxes are overflowing.
There is one good side to the vote, the opponents are mostly all Republicans. That'll make it easier for the House to oppose Kennedy's scamnesty.

Can't wait to find out who the 36 were as I missed some names in the spoken tally.
We have to! we only have 6 days before they try to blackmail pressure them
Our congratulations to the following members of Congress for making this bill a strong step toward securing our borders and providing good measures for interior enforcement. While there is much more to do to create comprehensive immigration reform as found in the TRUE Enforcement bill, Chairman Sensenbrenner and Chairman King's bill is a good beginning.

Please post the traitors etal Dita?
There's only a few in the Senate who deserve our support, the rest we need to start getting rid of them. I'm betting DeWine is going to be the first to go this November.
