BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on immigration tomorrow night. Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's "passion" on immigration. He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America !

I'm not either. However as TheLion has mentioned there is now a huge problem with MS-13 in DC. As a result I have been reading quite a bit about them the last year or so. According to the Wash. Post they originated in El Salvador.
Of course our open borders invited them in to the USA some years back and they have grown accordingly. They are now in every major and some not so major cities in the US. By far the largest contingent is LA. Almost moot at this point as to where they started. Bottom line is these guys and some girls are evil. This element would just as soon kill you as look at you. And they certainly hate the "gringo".

WOW! ...So I'm half listening to Neil Cavuto on the TV just now while poking around here... and he has this story on about Mexican kids coming over the border every morning to go to SCHOOL in ARIZONA! He's interviewing what appears to be an INSENSED American soccer-Mom who got this on VIDEO! ...INCLUDING interviews with the KIDS who say they LIVE in Mexico.

...AND GET THIS! ...Someone even called the COPS on HER while she was filming/talking to the kids and, in at least ONE case, talking to a Mother who was taking her (Illegal) kid ACROSS the BORDER to school!!! (...for their daily free education, free lunches, etc.)

...and NO!!! ...NOBODY, Border Patrol or ANYONE, is apparently STOPPING these kids to check IDs or ANYTHING!

...We are TOAST!

...and I am STILL in a state of total disbelief!

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH HASTERT?

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, is under investigation by the FBI, which is seeking to determine his role in an ongoing public corruption probe into members of Congress, ABC News has learned from senior U.S. law enforcement officials.
Federal officials say the information implicating Hastert was developed from convicted lobbyists who are now cooperating with the government.

Perhaps the bizarre bipartisan reaction to the [Rep. William] Jefferson search -- and the lack of cooperation preceding it -- stems from the fact that a lot of people in both parties have exposure here. And certainly if the Speaker is under investigation it's easy to see why the FBI might be reluctant to rely further on the Sergeant at Arms and the Capitol Police.

UPDATE: I've got an email from the Krista Cole in the House saying that the DOJ denies that Hastert is under investigation. Nothing on the DOJ webpage yet, though.
