The seven members were hauled off in Secret Service cars after receiving three warnings that they were violating the law by blocking the entrance to an embassy. They faced $50 fines and were expected to be released after booking.
Not on our watch, California Democrat Barbara Lee said.
Enough is enough, Georgia Democrat John Lewis said

IMMIGRATION
I-95 gets sign of divisivenessA conservative grass-roots group opposed to illegal immigration is behind a large `Stop the Invasion' billboard on Interstate 95 in Miami.

Someone must step forward and lead a political movement that counters the capitulation to the pro-illegal alien movement. If Congressman Tom Tancredo does not run for president in 2008, then someone with his commitment to the issue must run in his place.
Whenever candidates of any political party vote to support amnesty as a number of Republicans and Democrats did earlier this week then they must face political repercussions and be voted out of office.
If we don't take action now, then we will slowly become more and more like the Third World nation to our south where so many of these illegal immigrants are coming from.
It's time to fight back.

CONTROVERSY: A billboard at Interstate 95's Northwest 79th Street exit, put up by the group Grassfire.org, proclaims the conservative grass-roots group's support of sealing U.S. borders from undocumented immigrants.
President Bush is so mad at Tom Tancredo, he refuses to meet or speak with on the illegal immigration issue. I think it's the wrong approach, and divides, instead of solves. Of course, what do 78% of Americans know.
Thank You, However he or at least his office should know me by first name already :)
Yep that about sums it up!
"Newt said if he had said in the speech that he was sending blackhawks and military to the border to start building fences and he was taking action to immediately close the border -- his polls would have gone up."
That's the part he just doesn't seem to get!!!
Expect no relief. Although he expresses sympathy, Pres, GWB has already stated his position on gasoline, as supply and demand.

Immigration critics plan rallies today and Saturday to protest amnesty plan
South Bay residents who support a crackdown on illegal immigration said they will hold two mini-rallies today and Saturday, to voice their concerns about a bill now under debate in the U.S. Senate, and to express support for a tougher version that was enacted by the House of Representatives.

Immigration advocates say Martinez compromise is seriously flawed
~What am 'I' missing here?
A U.S. Senate immigration bill that would give undocumented immigrants the right to citizenship is seriously flawed and would adversely affect millions of undocumented immigrants, especially Haitians, South Florida immigrant advocates said today.
Members of a statewide network of 52 organizations concerned with the fair treatment of immigrants say that while they applaud Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla., for trying to address immigration reform through his proposed compromise legislation, there are ''harsh enforcement provisions'' that need to be removed before it becomes law.

Evangelicals tightlipped on immigration
While the Roman Catholic Church, mainline Protestants, Jews and Muslims have backed the emerging immigrants' rights movement, the situation has proved more complex for some conservative Protestants.
Struggling to balance compassion with respect for law and order - and dealing with an increasing number of Hispanics in their churches - evangelicals have lacked the united front they have presented on matters such as abortion and gay marriage, with some groups notably quiet.

Good for him. No respite! We will get this done one way or the other.
Scary thought...The man is like a pinball he is all over the map.

That's funny. I never heard that one or the first one.
