I don't know. If I were gay and in a relationship, why not give power of attorney to my lover, leave a will and make sure all items are in order at my time of death. Oh, and of course, if sperm donor children are involved, the same thing. Now, what rights other than property rights upon marriage between a man and a woman have I missed.
