Headline only so far...
Thanks for proving my point.
No, they're going to be issued lemonaide stands.
Mr President, Good news! However, please do not say: "Jobs Americans will not do". Big mistake.
Only in your own mind, Howlin. Only in your own mind.
"How many did Ike deport?"
If memory, serves the INS claimed 1.3 million but those numbers were probably exaggerated...hundreds of thousands just repatriated back to wherever they came from.
I agree with you completely.
Translation: No... I don't have any ideas. Navyguy pegged me correctly the first time... I just stand around crying about stuff. I've never offered to help solve a single thing.
I'm all done with you.
Watch how fast we find those 20 million if we offer then amnesty!
No one claims that deporting these people is going to be "easy". Nothing that's worth anything comes easy, clawrence.
This is the greatest country on the face of this earth, and we can do anything we set our minds to do...anything.
sw
"They won't come if there are no jobs or social services."
with all due respect, the illegals that make up MS-13 aren't going down to your local social service dept to apply for food stamps. LMAO
when these POS can't get jobs they will do whatever illegally to come, stay here and prosper.
I have a business associate who has been robbed three times in the last year by Hispanics(probably illegals)...
his business is right behind a Home Depot where they congregate daily.
I don't know if you mean that sincerely or ironically but I, for one, will never trust W. on illegal immigration, even though I supported his candidacy and recognize that he has done some good things in some other areas.
Whatever he does now on this issue, would be like Tony Soprano chipping in a nice contribution to his local Neighborhood Watch program. I alreday know where Tony stands. And I know also where W. stands.
You are so right: that phrase, "jobs Americans wont' do" must be banned from the President's vocabulary. Either say "jobs Americans don't want to do" or better yet forget the whole idea of jobs we don't want to do. The big problem with the phrase, "jobs Americans won't do", is that it implies Americans are too soft or too lazy to do certain jobs. That's not a good message to be sending to our people, any way you look at it.
" If we met that cost it would be $7 billion dollars just to build it let alone staff it and maintain it. Do we then build one to cover the Canadian border? Are we going to mine or beaches as well when the wall doesn't keep everyone out?"
Do you know how much it is costing the taxpayers of CA,TX,NM and AZ alone to allow illegals to STAY HERE?
SIXTEEN BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! every year...year end and year out!
at the costs you posted, we could build TWO WALLS one for Mexico and one for Canada and still be ahead of the game at the end of the year!
I like your attitude and wish I shared your optimism.
Bush! Welcome back to Conservatism! We've missed you!
"I like your attitude and wish I shared your optimism"
well I learned from my Irish father, the last four letters of American spell "I can" and there's absolutely no reason why we can't secure the borders and give America back to Americans!
Hey! I like that!
"Give America Back To Americans!"
Dont forget other states too. Washington state is around a billion /year too (welfare only). What troubles me is not just the dollars but the culture. Our schools are around 50% Hispanic and it heavily affects the "quality" of the experience. It is increasingly like our kids are going to Mexican schools instead of the reverse.
Watch the SLeight of Hand move tonight by Bush...
The National guard will be deployed in an undetermined logistical back up support role at a later date..."Go home Minute Men..there is no need for Vigilantism!"
But please RIGHT NOW! ...pass this bill to allow these fine people to get on a path to citizenship because..."there are jobs that Americans wont do"...
You can smell it coming.
