Iran Declares War

President Ahmadinejad's letter to President Bush, widely interpreted as a peaceful overture, is in fact a declaration of war. The key sentence in the letter is the closing salutation. In an eight-page text of the letter being circulated by the Council on Foreign Relations, it is left untranslated and rendered as "Vasalam Ala Man Ataba'al hoda." What this means is "Peace only unto those who follow the true path."

It is a phrase with historical significance in Islam, for, according to Islamic tradition, in year six of the Hejira - the late 620s - the prophet Mohammad sent letters to the Byzantine emperor and the Sassanid emperor telling them to convert to the true faith of Islam or be conquered. The letters included the same phrase that President Ahmadinejad used to conclude his letter to Mr. Bush. For Mohammad, the letters were a prelude to a Muslim offensive, a war launched for the purpose of imposing Islamic rule over infidels.

Excellent points yo've made. The 'Guardian' obviously didn't interpret the madman's letter this way.

Will be watching tomorrow for a repeat in the Friday prayer as a poster suggtested. Also, is there a link or information on this wacko's Muslim religous calendar, particlularly any 'pre-ordained' events preceding the reappearance of this '12th Imam?" I also wouldn't put it past this clown to try something near our Memorial Holiday. Stay vigilant.

I continue to think some key mullahs are having misgivings with Ahmadinejah. He certainly does not have the blessing of them all. Just for instance, he demanded about two weeks back (I read one of Doctor Zin's postings), much of the Iranian banking systems money should be placed into some key personal accounts in Swizerland. The mullahs refused to let this happen. And there was another event where he asked for monies to be either converted from US to Euros or something along that line, and again the request was refused.
As he tries to further consolidate his power, he is going to spook more of those that put him into power.
If a large percentage of mullahs feel they are ultimately threatened, this president could find himself out the door, or meeting with a fatal accident.

I usually think of it more as the scene in Independence Day where all the morons (read: Liberals) go up to the top of the building to welcome the Aliens. Then they are the first ones annihilated.

I think the Barbary Pirates used some thing similar in their phrasing too.

What might be interesting about this letter as an opportunity:

1. Calling for an emergency session of the Security Council.
2. Making the observation about this (a declaration of war placed in the middle of a jelly sandwich of a letter).
3. Asking for them to clarify exactly that on the floor of the UN.
4. Countering with a call for our own declaration of war within the Congress and on the floor of the UN.

Whackjob went too far. Time to put the big hand of the clock on 1 minute to midnight.

There's another interpretation of this letter that I think is more likely than a declaration of war. Iran has been complaining that we're using psychological warfare against them. I think this letter is just intended to be some psychological warfare against us in retaliation, just to "get even." Iran is not going to attack us until the day they actually have nuclear weapons (if we allow them to build nukes). If they attack us now, they have no chance of defeating the US military, and they know they would surely lose.

I'm not sure what that man thinks, but this letter is very probably just some psyops against us.

"they have no chance of defeating the US military, and they know they would surely lose."

Exactly...which is why I really do wonder if this kook-nut already has a Nuke(s). He is being very beligerent for someone who has only spun a gram or two of Uranium. He is acting as one who will try to fool the world into thinking has only a gram or two and then shocks the world when he touches one off in Tel Aviv or NYC.

Like all Islamic rhetoric, it should be taken at face value. If they say they are going to obliterate Israel and replace our constitution with the quaran, then that is exactly what they plan to do.
They keep telling us this, yet we continue to brush it off and laugh.
They have infiltrated us, in fact the world. There procedures work. They move to a country, raise families, acquire jobs in all sectors, live in all parts of the target country. They start to make demands based on their their religious beliefs (the quaran). Nativity scenes are offensive, require rooms and time for prayer, imposing their beliefs at the expense of others. Softening the target so to speak. By leveraging political ground gained at every turn. Subjugation in any means, some subtle, some not so subtle. Each appeasement is a victory for them. When their population reaches a critical mass they strike. They plan to do this with in our lifetimes.France may well already be lost. There is no such thing as a peaceful islamist, it simply means they have not been activated.
We must not continue to dismiss them in apathetic arrogance.
We should be prepared to bare arms.
Ok, so the President of the United States of America is to tell the world that the true bastion of freedom and tolerance, the liberators of tyranny, our country has been killing innocent people when it could all have been avoided by converting to Islam?
I urge everyone to mention this ultimatum to all family, friends, and acquaintances. And urge them to do likewise.
I hope our boarders have been secure enough to prevent nuclear ordinance from being planted with in our borders. This sounds like an ominous pretense to something very dark. It's letters like this that end up in History books.
Will it take an American Hiroshima to awaken the majority, to mobilize our masses against the Islamic quest of world domination?
Islam must be crushed. Islam must not be recognized as a religion any more than Nazism was. All Mosques should be declared delinquent of taxes owed retroactive from the day they were built. ANY gathering of Islamics should be PROSECUTED as CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MASS MURDER, found guilty and deported. Country by country, state by state, town by town, foot by foot, inch by inch, the Islamic cancer must be eradicated.

Not that I've come across, per se, but if I find something, I'll ping you.

You also might find the article I posted HERE an interesting read. It's written by an Iranian reporter that fled Iran in 1979. He sheds more light on details on the "Mahdi" and Ahmadinijhad, than the typical article offers. - OB1
