Botched Kosovo intervention dims hopes for peace
Baltimore Sun ^ | May 10, 2006 | Christopher Deliso

SKOPJE, MACEDONIA // Averting a humanitarian catastrophe was NATO's stated justification for bombing Serbia and its Kosovo province in 1999. But initial successes quickly succumbed to the reverse ethnic cleansing of more than 200,000 Serbs and other minorities by Albanian militants.

Another fine piece by Christopher Deliso. The Greater Albania project continues on unabated with full support of the UN and our State Department.

Where were the WMD!?!??!??!?

(Wounded and Mass Dead)

I seem to recall talk of Serbians "Ethnic Cleansing" and "Mass Graves" as a justification for our bombing them into the ground, yet the mass graves never were found.

Blame Mohammed's never ending Jihad. Muslims world wide are overjoyed at the European turf their mad cult conquered. A fine addition to Dar-al-Islam .....Blame the liberal do-gooder Euro-shits and Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright. I curse them

Thanks. All this is true? If so it's reprehensible. This is not conspiracy theory stuff? That huge mining complex makes it more understandable why Serbia wanted to hold onto Kosovo. Besides the cultural reasons

Soros is notorious for hostile take overs of companies for the benefit of his cronies, and not just foreign companies.

Give Xlintoon a break. He did get the Chinese Embassey and he promised that troops will be withdrawn by Christmas. One slight problem was he didn't specify which Christmas. A year, a century or a millenia! All have cone and passed within the last 10 years!!

Recently, NetFlixed the movie, "Behind Enemy Lines" and it sure highlighted just how f*cked up our military actions were under Mr "I don't respect men in uniform" except to bring me my bourbon and branchwater on AF One! That whole Serbian mess was a precursor to our War on Terrorists. His failed policies in Somalia, Sudan and everywhere else needs to be reiterated or we're gonna lose!!

Yes...and the Racak Massacre, which Clinton used as a predicate for hostilities. It's amazing that a media that has skepticism and sees deceit within the Bush administration over Iraq, never saw any of these attributes with Clinton. On the contrary, reporters like Christian Amanpour and CNN were more than happy to carry the water for this WH in the build-up for that war.

The hypocrisy is astounding when you consider that Saddam was guilty of ten-times the atrocities that Slobo supposedly committed. And yet, those same humanitarian reasons for support of the war in Kosovo were suddenly absent when it came to dealing with Saddam. Astounding when you also consider the actual mass-graves being unearthered in Iraq, while those in Kosovo never quite materialized...at least at the level we were told.

These two conflicts have always been great examples of liberal (media) hypocrisy and bias. For all their claims of Geneva Convention violations in Iraq, there was a total ignorance of these violations in Kosovo. From the targeting of public utilities, to commuter train railways to even the Serbian media (SerbTv), Kosovo was one BIG Geneva violation.

While John Kerry lamented the "closing" of Al-Sadr's newspaper in Iraq...as an infringement on free-speech (despite Sadr's calls for the murder of US Soldiers) Kerry had nothing to say when NATO/US forces destroyed SerbTV, killing at least 20 civilians....and 10 other private radio/TV stations and 36 transmitters.

Also missing from this outrage was our own media, that while defending the rights of all journalists in Iraq (including the enemy), had nothing to say about those journalists and media outlets intentionally targeted in Serbia. On the contrary, Baghdad Bob practically became a cult hero as he was allowed unfettered access to the airwaves.

One of the biggest hypocricies I witnessed was listening to General Wesley Clark comment on possible Geneva Vioaltions by our soldiers in Iraq. This was amazing when you consider that Clark, himself, had an indictment issued against him for war crimes (from some foreign lawyers) in violation of the Geneva Convention. Yet, he is paraded out by the liberal media to comment on Iraq, when similar charges have been levied against him in Kosovo. From body-counts and civilian casualties to the long-term impact of the war in Serbia/Kosovo, the media completely ignored all of these issues in comparison to how they treated Iraq.

Actually, we did find the mass graves that Clinton told us where in Kosovo!

But we found them in Iraq and they were full of dead Arabs killed by Saddam's regime.

You know, this is like Europe saying to the US, "We don't like the way you are handling California, so we've decided to give it Mexico!" Who in the hell would expect the US to go along with that? No one! But they expect Serbia to accept a US/Euro decision to give away Kosovo by saying, "OK, Boss! Anything you want! Want Sandzak, too? OK.". It bull.

Giving away Kosovo to Islamic narco-terrorists is a bad decision, not just for Serbia, for the US and Europe, too.

Clinton truly disgusted me, but if the Bush admin allows Kosovo to become "Kosova", then Bush & Co can go screw themselves, too!

First Kosovo, then Montenegro.

Albanian nationalist graffiti appear in Montenegro
BBC Monitoring
May 05, 2006

Text of report by Serbian independent news agency FoNet

Podgorica, 2 May: Greater Albanian and nationalistic slogans, which caused considerable upset and discontent among citizens, could be seen in Spuz and along the Adriatic coast from Becici towards Budva, the Montenegrin Police Directorate has confirmed.

Slogans carrying the following messages "Montenegro and Albania will be one family" and "Long Live Greater Albania and OVK" [Kosovo Liberation Army, UCK in Albania] were written on the wall of the Spuz retail centre.

The graffiti in Spuz caused great upset in this otherwise mono-ethnic community dominated by Montenegrins and Serbs.

Both the Bloc for Independent Montenegro and the Bloc for Serbia-Montenegro State Union denied any involvement in writing the greater Albanian slogans.

Graffiti were also written on the wall of the post office in Becici, as well as on several billboards along the motorway from Sveti Stefan to Budva, and on a coach with licence plate CE E9-205, owned by Milan Pedenik from Slovenia.

As the Montenegrin MUP [Interior Ministry] said, the slogans written in spray paint said: "CG [Montenegro], DPS [ruling Democratic Party of Socialists], UCK, [Prime Minister] Milo [Djukanovic], OVK, Albania, Serbia Forever, [ethnic Albanian party leaders Mehmet] Bardhi, [Ferhat] Dinosha, [President] Filip [Vujanovic], SDP [Social Democratic Party]".

In this case, too, both blocs taking part in the Montenegrin [independence] referendum denied any links with the graffiti-writing.

Over the past two days, the police detained a number of persons suspected of writing the aforementioned graffiti.
