Thoughtcrime certainly. Seriously, 4 guns is a "cache" B.S! I have 2 and a K-bar in my trunk. I guess my car would a mobile arsenal by their definition. I too collect "exotic" weapons, ie, knives, swords, etc, probably a good percentage on FR do as well. Fortunately I do not live in the People's Republic of NJ. Plus he was 23, he has a right to own those weapons.

No, according to the
NRA-ILA website for New Jersey, even the "illegal hollowpoints" are not illegal to purchase, or to possess in ones "dwelling, premises, or other land owned or possessed by him, or from carrying such ammunition from the place of purchase to said dwelling or land"
At least until his father got a court to issue a restraining order against him, them every gun and round of ammo became illegally possesed.
The story says he was licensed to posses the firearms. That actually means he had a FOID card for purchase of the "sniper rifle", and a permit to purchase for the Glocks. These are required even for gifts, transfers from out of state and private purchases. "A person shall not be restricted as to the number of rifles or shotguns they may purchase, provided they have a valid FID and the certification form requirements are met."
