Since immigration and Patrick Kennedy are popular issues being talked about, here is part of the voting record of Patrick Kennedy on immigration.
Rep. Kennedy voted againstH.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. H.R. 4437, as amended and passed, includes major improvements in interior enforcement and border security, as well as a reduction in legal immigration numbers. Among its most significant provisions are: a requirement that all businesses must use an electronic system to check if all new hires have the legal right to work in the country; additional security fencing along the Mexican border; a mandate that the federal government cooperate with local authorities in picking up all illegal aliens they detain; and elimination of the visa lottery program that each year awards 50,000 green cards to randomly selected winners. H.R. 4437 passed by a vote of 239 to 182.
Voted on House floor against amendment to clarify local law enforcement's authority to enforce immigration laws in 2005 Rep. Kennedy voted against the Norwood Amendment to H.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. The Norwood amendment clarifies the existing authority of State and local law enforcement personnel to assist in the apprehension and detention of illegal aliens. As well, it requires DHS to: (a) provide training assistance to state and local law enforcement agencies; (b) reimburse state and local entities aiding in immigration enforcement; (c) continue the Institutional Removal Program (IRP), which guarantees that dangerous or criminal aliens who have been incarcerated, are removed and not released into the community; and, (d) expand the IRP to all states and, in so doing, authorizes state and local law enforcement to detain illegal aliens for up to 14 days. Further, it authorizes $1 billion for State Criminal Alien Assistance Program grants and prohibits state and local law enforcement who fail to aid or cooperate with federal government enforcement from being reimbursed for alien incarceration costs. This amendment would not only help deter future illegal immigration, but gradually begin to reduce the current 10-12 million illegal alien population in the United States. The amendment passed by a vote of 237 to 180.
Voted on House floor against amendment to increase security with border fence in 2005 Rep. Kennedy voted against the Hunter Amendment to H.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. The Hunter Amendment would shore up security by building fences and other physical infrastructure to keep out illegal aliens. Specifically, it mandates the construction of specific security fencing, including lights and cameras, along the Southwest border for the purposes of gaining operational control of the border. As well, it includes a requirement for the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a study on the use of physical barriers along the Northern border. The Hunter Amendment passed by a vote of 260-159.

Ah yes, the distinguished voting record of Patches "I have never worked a [bleeping] day in my life" Kennedy.
We need "border patrol" to protect drivers from Pat Kennedy.
He's a democrat what can one expect from a democrat, socialists the bunch of them.
We need "border patrol" to protect drivers from Pat Kennedy.
Also for the protection of concrete barriers.
What a commie-socialist-fascist, hate-America POS he is.
I'm more interested in the record of Mark Kennedy.
He is running for the Dayton Senate seat.
Thanks for the heads up. We certainly need more Kennedys in government. After all, they haven't worked a day in their F*****g life. The unemployment rate is below 5% now. That figure represents Kennedys in and out of the government trough. Is it really necessary to add sarcasm?
Mark Kennedy in no way, shape or form related to any of the other Kennedys.
I think his childhood nanny was Kitty Dukakis.
Again, as a person living in his district, I do believe he could potentially be voted out of power, its just that we have few if any good Republican candidates and the last guy who ran against him was an ex-Navy Seal, an outstanding fellow and he only ended up winning 40% of the vote.
Hey, those are his good qualities.
Beautiful work!
It is hard to believe that real people would cast their vote for this numbnuts. What's the vote fraud situation in RI?
Of course, his election could be explained by an old Clinton-type Bumper Sticker I saw in Little Rock.

I know Mark Kennedy's family. They are good conservative people. Both of Mark's parents are long-time Republican activists.
