SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The FBI has placed polygamist church leader Warren Jeffs on the agency's 10 most-wanted list, hoping the additional exposure and reward money leads to an arrest in the long-running investigation.
Jeffs is wanted in Arizona on criminal charges of sexual conduct with a minor. He also was charged in Utah with rape as an accomplice. He is accused of arranging marriages between underage girls and older men. "We are doing everything we can to track him down," said Tim Fuhrman, special agent in charge of the FBI's Salt Lake City field office. "We just made the determination that this is the next step that we can take as federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, to potentially result in the apprehension of Mr. Jeffs."
The FBI's announcement in a rare Saturday evening news conference coincided with Jeffs' case appearing on the television program "America's Most Wanted." Although Jeffs, who is 6-foot-4 and 150-155 lbs, isn't considered armed, he believed to travel with armed bodyguards.
Jeffs, 50, is the leader of the polygamous Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, based in the state line communities of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz. Jeffs has not been seen by anyone outside of the FLDS community for nearly two years...."

Send him to an Islamic country....
I saw the profile America's Most Wanted did on Jeffs. This guy is EVIL!!!
I would be interested in the FBI expanding their list of ten. Include ALL pedophiles and child rapists.
Any "Big Love" watchers here?
I think the guy belongs in prison but the ten most wanted list is overkill, let's hope it doesn't turn out to be literal.
It astonishes me that with just 10 slots, we're making room on our list for THIS GUY?
I can't help but think that an important part of his membership on this list is cuz he's a really tall, really WHITE male.
Maybe he'll become a Scientologist - the head of that "Church" (aka organized criminal enterprise) successfully avoided service of a several million-dollar judgment against him by a former member (victim) for over 10 years (maybe over 20... but the last I heard of it was in 1995, and the judgment was from 1983...)
Because we can be sure that everything AMW told us is the absolute truth, and is not slanted in any way to make this guy look guilty..
Because we can be absolutely sure that AMW isn't just parroting the government's official stance and propaganda, and has checked all the facts to insure the accusations are all true..
Sorry, I have to take something like this with a massive dose of salt..
While there is a possibility there is a "grain of truth", I suspect that it is suspended in lies..
This is probably more about taxes, and political power, and religious viewpoints about polygamy than actual criminal acts..
I remember Waco, and Ruby Ridge too well to believe whatever the feds say..
Mark my words...
While a few people will eventually go to jail, the original accusations will probably not be the cause..
The only concrete result will be the federal confiscation of massive amounts of personal property and real estate..
I watch every Sunday night. There's quite a bit of physical similarity between Jeffs and Big Love's Roman Grant character.
When we were driving by Colorado City my wife asked me why there were such big houses and were they wealthy she was surprised when when I told her about the marital arrangements.
I know that David Koresh wasn't arrested LOTS of times when they had the chance. The man was jogging past their checkpoints and they didn't arrest him. For that matter they could have arrested him when they met with him to negotiate.
After Mt. Carmel who can you trust?
The Iranians would love this guy....
I saw that too. being on there means he's not going to be on the loose much longer.
I think I know who will represent him when he's caught -- Jeffrey Feigert (sp) -- saw him on Gretta tonight and he is incensed that this guy is being 'harassed.' I, too, am incensed -- by Gretta's show.
