I'm more upset with Conservatives than I am with George W. Bush

If I had told you on 9/11/2001 that we'd go four and half years and counting without another terrorist attack on US soil, would you have believed me?

If I had told you that US-led forces would secure Afghanistan in just a few months...something the Soviets couldn't accomplish in ten years...would you have thought I was crazy?

If I had told you that Saddam was gone, that Khadaffy had renounced terrorism, and that Iraq was on the verge of becoming the second democracy in the Middle East, would have thought I was on medication?

Sometimes in our disappointment of this administration, we often forget some of the positives. The economy is strong. More Americans are homeowners. With tax cuts, we're spending less time working for Uncle Sam.

And if you take those benefits for granted, just imagine how much different things would be under a President Al Gore.

So if the president's stance on immigration and spending upset you - and they do upset me - what are you going to do about it? Stay at home? Nothing could be worse for conservativism. Your non-support will usher in more immigrants, higher taxes, and weaker national security.

If the GOP loses Congress, George W. Bush will be removed from office. Nothing would embolden terrorists more. How can we be counted on to wage an effective war when we can't even decide who our enemy is?

George W. Bush isn't the enemy. But that's exactly the message conservatives will send to the world if they stay at home this November.

If you're upset with W. on immigration - write him, write a Republican Congressman, let him know how you feel. It was conservatives who got Bush to change his mind on Harriet Meirs.

I promise you, a Democratic Congress won't be nearly as responsive to your needs.

40% of Hispanics vote for republicans. Thats still 60% who vote democratic. I've heard some say teh reason the republicans should accept illegal immigration is we'd get 40% of their vote.

This is silly be the Hispanic vote isn't a voting block, they are as diverse as non Hispanics and don't vote for the interests of Mexico, they vote for America.

I was poking fun at the fact that importing dozens of millions of poor minorities who lean socialist will destroy the Republican party like no base revolt ever could, and President Bush is leading the charge.

You think that this kind of thing matters to anti-immigrant, even, I'll give 'some' of them the benefit of the doubt and call them anti-illegal-immigrant extremists?

Clearly, since they broke a law, are devestating our economy (witness, 4% unemployment. 4%! The 90% of Economist that say it's a boon to the economy are wrong, clearly, because I say so.), and are culturally backwards (even though they are more likely then their American counterparts to be involved in church and family), and should instantly be deported at least, if not executed.

They are INVADERS! They should be BURNED AT THE STAKE!

It's not enough to say, "OK, well, let's be realistic. Let's strenghten border security, but allow for a more realistic flow of immigrants (so, you know, the border security actually 'works' as opposed to stiking your finger in a breaking dam) and not talk about any of this impossible deportation-of-12-million-people (because, you know, that wouldn't, say, cost billions on top of devestating our GDP) nonsense."

It's only enough to demand 100% deportation and NO more immigrants legally.

Of course, now it's about 'legal' immigration, which most of them oppose too when you press them on specific issues, but don't change the subject.

I don't care whether there are more Rpublicans in COngress or fewer. What we need is more conservatives. Too many Repulbicans these days are RINOs. We need fewer of those.

Your right about that. However you need to realize that America is pissed off about this immigration issue. America doesn't want to be Mexico. Do everyone a favor and instead of blaming the far right for being pissed(not blaming you, cause I'm not doing anything constructive about it either), we should all work together to force congress into an enforcement first policy. If they don't Republicans will lose.

If you really care what happens the best way to prevent it, is to somehow change the policy, and fast.
