A Story Told In Pictures And Verse
When I was a Little Kitty, the perfect place to be
Was in the Wicker Clothes Basket, buried beyond my knees
Twisting and stretching, then curling up with different textures is a thrill that's sure to please
There is but one thing that can raise the Pleasure Lever higher
And that is to leap in freshly folded clothes still warm from the Dryer!
There's no better sensation than plunging deep
Twisting and wiggling down as warmth starts to seep
In slowly through soft and silky fur
Mixing with a soft and contented purr so True
There's always time to nap before My Pretty One arrives to play Peek-A-Boo!
The Wicker Clothes Basket has always fit me well
But why exactly? I cannot tell
It always seemed much deeper and larger to me
A place where I could arrange myself comfortably all day
And contemplate mischief while My Pretty One's away
The Wicker Clothes Basket and I are still close friends
Circle and sit tucked up for awhile
Then perhaps indulge in a Nap with a smile
Before seeking other business that I must attend
The Wicker Clothes Basket would be upset if it discovered it has lost the race
As My Special and Most Wonderful Favorite Place
The Big Room's Leather Couch easily wins
With its scent and lush texture, a Siren's Song it spins
And the way its softness conforms to my body, is it a sin?
To stretch out languorously where Humans rest their heads
And watch My Pretty One dash out and in
When I could easily be running around her feet instead
I think I'll just stretch out here and relax a spell
Until My Pretty One joins me with Her tales to tell!

Wonderful, Jack. Thank you so much for always posting these wonderful kitty stories in verse.
I think I'm about to acquire a kitten...I hope. My hubby isn't very keen on it.
