She says she considered quitting her role as campaign adviser over the issue of gay marriage, but Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Mary Cheney tells ABC News "Primetime" anchor Diane Sawyer her sexuality has never created problems within her family.
Mary Cheney discussed the campaign, her feelings about President Bush, life with her partner of 14 years, and what it was like to come out as gay to her parents.
"I struggled with my decision to stay on the 2004 campaign," Cheney told "Primetime." Her personal challenge came when President Bush said the nation must defend the sanctity of marriage.

Okay, so you think a young woman who has a traumatic experience does something foolish and she is a terrible person, but a fully-formed adult can go on national television and say that people who believe in traditional morality and the President of the United States are evil, and that's okay.
Kobe Bryant can have extramarital sex. It's unacceptable for anyone on Free Republic to criticize.
The victim of a rape has extramarital sex and it's okay to tell people she is an evil tramp with a mental problem.
Believe it or not, being raped is a very traumatic experience. Women do all sorts of crazy things after that. Some of them shy away from men completely, but other women might react promiscously. A lot of people who have been raped, especially when they were young, go on to become promiscous. It's interesting that you get mad at anyone who "judges" someone for any kind of sexual activity, unless it's a raped woman.
You have no evidence that woman is bipolar. You have no evidence that she lied. We do have evidence that Kobe Bryant lied. He called a press conference in front of millions of people and said he had never cheated on his wife. Do you admit that he was lying about that?
