I heard Chambliss but Hoekstra was worse. The others WERE military (but I think not Active Military). Still there's nothing in the Law against Active Military serving. I think the subtext here, is "We don't want the CIA director subservient to Rumsfeld"... When our side acts as sinners giving the DUmmies ammo, it really ticks me off (and that's saying it mildly).
He said he respected Michael Hayden and was inclined to support the President pending the nomination and saw nothing disqualifying about Hayden being Active Military.

Yeah, I ususally think of Hoekstra as a good guy. But Michigan politics can be weird at times, too.
I think this gives us hope that Able Danger has not been scrapped and that the libs at CIA aren't getting their way. Mufflers may have been put on public discussion of AD so that the program could continue and be effective.
I'm a glass half-full kind of girl, though, so I hope I'm not disappointed when the books are written in 10 years about the behind-the-scenes planning of this time.

I have limtless faith in Tony's and Rumsfeld's integrity, so I can't believe that there are bad things connected to these changes.
