My poor wife was 9 hours late after a 26 hour flight. Thunderstorms in Atlanta forced the plane to divert to Birmingham AL to refuel. When they all got back to Atlanta, she had blown her connection and then had to wait until a flight which got her in at 9:40 after 36 hours en route. Still, I'M the one who's exhausted as she had to call half of Thailand to tell them she got in safe. It's good that she's home...I sleep much better now...

I am just astounded at this kind of reaction. There is all kinds of noise about Hayden not being "independent." What is it that he is supposed to be independent of? He entered active duty in 1969 and has been in the business of defending this country and its constitution ever since. It makes no sense to oppose him.

Arlen should NOT have been allowed to take that chairmanship. I wrote to all the GOP members of the Judiciary Committee, the Leadership and my Senators. Didn't do any good obviously. This guy is ridiculous. And one more time, McCain comes through. I know McCain is almost persona non grata around here, but lately he's making a lot more sense than a lot of others that are SUPPOSED to be on our side.

Thank for your concern. All that cleaning of the house...she came home and all the wrapping of the stuff she brought from Thailand is all over the living room...She got in 10 hours late due to weather and Delta's screwups, but she's home and I'm sleeping better....

What is this deal with Hayden being military? I thought we honored and respected our military! I thought (silly me) that the whole PURPOSE of the CIA was to gather information on future crisis points for use in development strategies for the military? What's the deal with him being military? To me that's a PLUS not a minus...
