Story is that Pelosi is universally despised by her own party. They consider her a disaster.

We are not going to lose the Senate or the House.

I agree.

Specter is a closet Dem. He values the Senate much more than the Executive Branch, He is repulsive, and the decision by Rove et al to support him in the last election, when he had a primary challenger, was a terrible decision, IMO.

"You are correct, Bahbah. I saw a piece on local news here, KMOV I think, that said people were happy with the medicare plan. So it makes sense the Dems would want to get rid of it.."

I kept trying to get my stepfather (who is on a limited income) to sign up starting last year - he said nah, he wouldn't save much, blah, blah. Well, guess what. He finally did, is saving a lot on his medications and has been very happy w the program.

Specter: Use this for leverage!!!!!

Specter: We can't know if we approve of this classified national security program and of the President's Article II powers, until the Executive branch kowtows to us and tells the Judiciary Committee - including my esteemed colleagues Leahy and Kennedy - everything we want to know about this classified national security program.

"Arlen is President/CHAIRMAN of the Massive Ego Club. Over 500 members...who meet in D.C. too often."

Have you seen the picture Arlen uses on the JC page

You forgot the best part! Yesterday afternoon there was a statement from Kennedy that he was with a woman before his accident and she will swear that he was not drinking!

YES! Yes he did.....and best of all- he made it home safe...

he called me and asked if he could come home with a different group than he went with- the other group was going out for breakfast....

I said "no. You shouldn't leave your friends, just because they had a curfew, plus- we didn't plan on this ahead of time, so I am not comfortable with it. I don't know your other friends."

He came home like he should have- and never once complained that I had said no.

WHEW!

Good Kid!

THANK GOD!

They're saying that the drop in Bush's numbers are due to CONSERVATIVES.

####

That is true. All the libs have given negative answers to pollsters since Jan 20, 2001. I just commented that only now are commentators mentioning the fact. New democrats are not being made.

Rove's gotta be smacking himself upside his own head wondering what the heck he was thinking ;-)

We the people - the owners and general managers of our government - must demand more from those we send to Washington, D.C.

Missed first service (church) sooooo.....good post
I am forever reminding people when they say "the government......" that "we" are the "government"

Russert is being a bit harsh on Mss Pelosi.

He's trying to redeem himself after months of obvious shilling for the dems. Tim, it won't work. Pelosi, btw, looks like she needs a tranquilizer.

Sadly enough, many people have been scared off by the constant media reports about the new RX program being too complicated.

It doesn't help when Hannity and others bash the program and Bush for promoting the program.

It will save lives and many millions in Medicare expenditures.
