Current poll:
"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____
So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.
I may be rude (to you) .. but at least I'm not a crackpot
Oh, don't sell yourself short.
Now, asking the question why constituents vote for the same person, then expect different results, is a good question.
I would also like an answer to that...but, we need to find better candidates...or at least support vigorously the ones that ARE doing good work, like Mike Pence, Jeb Hensarling, and others.
Sen.Coburn, Sen. Sessions...these are some just off the top of my head that need to hear from us, regardless of state...because if they can show that a lot of people are backing them...then their caucuses will have to pay more attention to them, thus more power.
Imagine what the swing voters, the independents and dems that voted for GOP might poll these days if that's a FR poll. Scary!
I hope the GOP runs back to the conservative base soon.
Why, thank you.......:-)
The greater war is being waged extremely successfully on virtually every front. They are losing, we are winning. They are flat out being killed every day, their money is drying up, their santuaries are being rooted out, they are down from their A team to the scrubs.
There has not been a succesful mission here since 9/11. I repeat, they are losing. Big time.
The border issue is a small, small percentage IMHO, and vastly overrated by the anti-illegal immi crowd.
That being said, I am anti what they are doing (and not doing)on the border and there is little excuse for it.
Punishing the pubbies by bringing in the Dems via third party will undo most of the good we have done with the WOT. It would be suicide. Better to keep working with the good conservatives and keep pushing back, than to give it over. The Arizona Gov is in because of the "purists" who went third party. Look what that got them. Ugh.
Because if you don't vote for a republican your voting for a RATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT dirty communist. Even if Ted Kennedy switched parties, you'd still have to vote for him otherwise YOU PEROSNALLY are killing America, and killing aborted babies. REpublcants are better than demonRAts, Everyone knwos that
lol!
Do you have a reading comprehension problem? I said I would take Pelosi over McCain or Gulianni; I definitely, would not want any of them in charge of anything.
Nah. It was huge before. It was the marches and boycotts that created public obsession. Both parties are equally effected by this "wedge".
The issue is slow pitch just begging to be knocked out of the park and no one is steeping up to the plate.
I agree and I do support the individuals who ARE doing what should be done (i.e., insisting that current laws be enforced). The party itself is not doing that. That is my basic criticism.
Bill Clinton is a BIG reason for 9/11....your theory is ridiculous.
Ahhhh. Now I got it. Thank you.
Love your tagline....
I am being facetious again...since I usually don't pull that off very well...LOL
You do make some good points...I just wish you were more positive about what CAN be done, instead of angry about what hasn't.
If I were voting to "punnish" I would vote against the democrat Party Of Treason everytime. I dont vote to punnish. I vote for results. And results I am not seeing in the WOT (regarding the borders)and I think we are fighting the WOT with far too much PC (is this Rummy's fault? I dont know), drilling more oil domestically and building new refineries. Furthermore, despite the GOP controlled government it seems like more crosses are being taken down off buildings now than ever before.
Your thoughts appear to be on the mark. I thought that posters here were smart enough to know that you have got to back a horse that can win, that only the two parties have those horses - not totally a true statement, but virtually true. I get that all the time around here - "I vote for the best candidate" etc. regardless of party - only a few people, if any, really "know" any candidate for office at any level. One must go with the basic values of one of the two major parties - actually I don't give a damn which one, but select one that has a platform that is closest to your values as a human being living in America - now that's making it real, that is where your vote will count in the long run. Any other option, even not voting, is just stupid and silly at the same time.
The poll is now at just under 20% for a rat takeover - God help our county - even this site is going to hell in a handbasket with so many people that want their way - totally - or the highway for them. How stupid is that?
Over the years, things have really changed around here - so many blow hards around, one issue voters, all good people as conservatives tend to be, but so blind to reality it's more than scary. I'm so saddened by the percentage of votes for a rat takeover - on FreeRepublic of all sites! I suppose the good thing is that I'm getting up there in years, but this trend is going to result in death for everyone, as life will not be the same ever again if rats take over at this point in time. Terror will take over everything.
Clinton's "do-nothing" policy did nothing but invite the terrorists back. Jimmy Carter, I think, had a lot to do with many of these ME problems. I wonder how things would be different in that part of the world today (especially in Iran) if Jimmy Carter lost against Ford.
Very well said Sonora.
