Current Poll - 13% of members will turn it over to the rats????

Posted on 05/06/2006 9:51:50 AM PDT by Sonora

Current poll:

"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____

So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.

Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.

I'm not voting for a democrat. But I wouldn't vote for anyone like McCain, either.

Me either. That's when I'd consider voting the CP.

Well, thanks anyway but, I really was not awaiting your permission to do so.

You'll never know how much better I feel after you having said that.

I agree with some of what you say. I do not like what W has done on the border issue. But I do like what the Republican house actually passed.

I do think the outcome, as long as people like you don't run away, will be to secure the border, I mean secure it fairly well, then a version of the guest worker progream will happen. One of the only poitives about the program is they will have to sign in, which means we will know who they are. And that's a good thing.

I think the border laxity is inexcusable, just don't see it quite as strong as you concerning the WOT.

Though this time .. I think it fits ;0)

I guess if you are going to say something it should at least fit in your mind.

I support the War in Iraq as I also consider it to be the WOT. But to execute such a war without closing the border is like throwing rocks at a hornets nest which is beside the open window of your home.

I support the War in Iraq, as well. But the War began at our own shores, which is still not secured.

From what I remember about 04, the polls usually gave Bush a slight lead.

Yes, you're correct. I was mainly talking about senate and house races.

I hope it does. Our Congressman, on the whole, have been doing a good job. The senators, except for a few (like Senator Sessions), have not.

I agree that my vote (and hopefully everyone else's too) is EARNED, based on both my philosophical & political belief the candidate is the BEST person for the position.

Votes are NOT entitlements.

~~~sigh~~~~ Mexico may become a communist country any way, I would be in favor of invading them before that happens. If they had a decent government their citizens wouldn't come up here to work. Graft is ingrained in Mexico from top to bottom, it would take generations to turn that around. Tough problem and people expect President Bush to build a wall and it would make it all OK. I am not sure it would, but who knows?
I'm with you.
IMO, this poll is a fasle dichotomy. If there isn't a conservative running in a given race, what are we supposed to do? Vote for a liberal because he has an R after his name?
You are so very wrong about Mo1...she is one of the most realistic, well informed posters on FR.
Apparently not all the time.
The poll did not match the choice we're given most of the time. In most races we have to choose between a liberal Democrat or a liberal Republican. How can we "work to get conservatives elected" when there is no conservative even running in a race?
Why not work on getting REAL conservatives elected and get rid of the rinos instead of giving it to the rats.
Between the two choices offered, I voted to elect constitutonally-minded conservatives. If I have no 'real' conservative to vote for, I'll probably go CP. It would be a cold day in hell before I vote for a rat.
