Current Poll - 13% of members will turn it over to the rats????

Posted on 05/06/2006 9:51:50 AM PDT by Sonora

Current poll:

"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____

So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.

Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.

I didn't vote, because this is a false dichotomy. You get more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected, in the long run, BY punishing the less conservative ones with electoral losses. That's the only way we can incentivize rightward movement in the Republican party.

Too many people can't see further than the next election.

"No .. but the Bush Bashing from the usuals have been"

A lot of times honest, sincere critique/measuring accountability is mislabeled as "Bush bashing."

Stating the obvious but overlooked.

100-13=87 of those that voted, which is 1725. I'll warrent a number didn't vote because the question is badly worded. Change the wording and see the tally.

Dubya could shut the border down by simply signing an executive order.

Anyone want to speculate why he doesn't?

LOL! Hard to believe political party hacks are still trying to scare people with ploys that ridiculous.

What hard to believe is you seem to forget what happened in Florida 2000.

Precincts with over 100% voting going over 90% to Dems!

Exactly what's so "LOL" about that!

That's right - the same 13% who allowed Clinton to get into power and led us down to an almost DISASTER...because Bush 1 got it wrong on taxes and Dole was too old and not conservative enough."

Bush Sr LIED to us "read my lips, no new taxes" and paid the price. Bush II has squandered his second term. Unlike Democrats, Republicans expect OUR leaders to protect our country against enemies forign and domestic, or we will use our power to vote and to not fund (I've already stopped sending money to any but the NRA, THEY kept their promises!)

Blindly voting party line is a Democrat habit, due mostly to lack of intelligence.

I'm all for real conservatives, but threatening to vote dem or 3rd party is self-defeating.

Just think of all the issues you care about, and you'll realize that although far from perfect, the republicans are far better than dems on all of them.

Conservative judges.

Tax cuts.

Moral issues: abortion, gay marriage, etc.

Border control: yeah, even here.

War and homeland security: no contest here.

social security: Bush tried.

There are a lot more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

You got welfare reform and you got tax reform.

Did nobody come to your house and offer to do your floors?

I can't stand the kind of logic you are attempting.

Well, there is STILL TIME for the GOP to act decisive THIS YEAR and show they are worth supporting.

DEFEND OUR BORDERS!

ENFORCE OUR NATIONS LAWS!

PROSECUTE OUR NATIONS ENEMIES WITHIN!

I call you stupid.

That was the logic that got Clinton elected.

We'll show 'em...we'll vote for Perot and, by golly, we will show them.

Yeah, you did. Grow up. Don't post again until you have done so.

I'm with you kjo. If nothing else, a third party will give the rats and the GOP traitors pause to think. I mean I'm a stalwart GOP, and I can't believe they haven't taken advantage of their power in BOTH houses and the presidency! GGGRRRRRRRR! Gilchrist '08!
