If Patrick Kennedy truly wants to beat his 'addiction' and clean up his act, I wish him the best. That being said -- I am just sickened by the press and liberal talking heads holding him up as some kind of hero for holding a press conference and, basically, committing himself for rehab.

If this story had not gotten out to the public, Patrick Kennedy would not have been startled by his behavior and would not have sought any kind of treatment.

What I find so disturbing about this 'incident' is that this man goes to work drunk and/or high and writes the laws by which we common folk must live. But because he is a Kennedy, no rules or laws apply to him.
