Benoit is still married to her, I believe. Kevin Sullivan was given the job of booking matches in the later days of WCW, when Benoit was the champion. The bad blood between the two was the deciding factor in Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, and Eddie Guerrero (RIP) jumping to the WWE.
One minor disagreement with you. When WWE goes to Japan, it's a whole different game. A while back, they did a
RAW taping in Japan. They had matches the Japanese fans like to see, and it was amazing. It actually showed what an amazing technical wrestler HHH is.
Most wrestlers are republicans, even the commies. ;)
I remember those matches. My mom and grandma were huge wretling fans when I was young. They got me into it too, and I even met Rick Rood (before WWF got him and spoiled him), and even gave Mad Dog Buzz Sawyer one of my stud earrings when he lost his during a match. He was afraid his new piercing hole would close. :)
THE ECW Bingo Hall and ECW were staples of my college entertainment, as I was an undergrad in Philly.
A lot of the fans aren't, though.

Because Gordon did such a great job of getting everybody else over, he got himself over more than any announcer ever.
Anybody that listened to Gordon Solie believed in wrestling. They may not have believed it was a contest, but Gordon made them believe what was happening was important and the guys doing it were special.
He was often called the Walter Cronkite of professional wrestling. Cronkite is considered the most credible and most trusted newscaster of all time. Solie brought the same level of credibility to wrestling, no matter how incredible his assignment might be at the time.<<

It was a great tribute and no one has ever filled Gordon's shoes but I take no credit other than being good with a search engine - the author was Mark Nulty.
