Well, cops do that sometimes believe it or not. I am a CJ major and I have known a lot of cops, sometimes they will cut a person a break. This caller is saying it. Is it wrong? Yes but cops are people as well, maybe they felt sorry for him, and no one else was injured and they knew it was going to be embarassing for him. Weak moment.

Deffie, I just read the FNC alert email. They are saying that he will enter rehab for pain medication. What does he need pain medication for? Were any of the medications he admitted to yesterday, pain pills? Just curious...

They're messing up their message. I think it's an indication that the Kennedy mafioso is not the organization it used to be. The new media is a big part of this since they don't have the ability to completely control the information as they used to.

I heard that he has Gastroenteritis? Maybe he was not drunk per se, but had a few drinks on top of the meds, bad reaction. I tend to try to be understanding of people. He also is bipolar and I have a friend who has that problem and it's a tough one. People make mistakes, he would have been better off, if he'd demanded to be tested, but maybe he was that out of it. I understand how a joe blow cop can be dazzled by celebrity. Hell maybe the guys knew him, they could be friends.

When I'm at work, my breaks are very short, 10 minutes, 20 minute lunch. Listening to the idiots, while having a smoke, makes them seem longer. BTW it's a diet aid, can't eat while LMAO!!

I made the mistake of turning to AirAmerika this morning...and Jerry Springer's show was all about how could the Reps put down Kennedy...

when the Bush twins were caught drinking underage..and how Laura was probably drunk when she ran over her boyfriend and killed him back when she was younger...blah, blah.

The MSM has no idea what to make of the Porter Goss story, nor do I. I hate speculation in the first place, but I have heard nothing that would even suggest this was coming.

There have been media rumblings about Negroponte, but nothing about Goss.

As for Kennedy, there really are no words. Let's see how gullible his constituents are. The entire family has been hiding behind their name, all the while breaking the laws of man and the Man above.

Interesting. I have been thinking that myself. Goss loved his position at the CIA. I'm pretty sure he was told to resign. If it had been voluntary, the President would have waited to accept it until things could have been done in a more orderly fashion. (Why in heavens name the President didn't fire Tenet is beyond me, but that is something else altogether.)
