Okay, can we rip this guy and call him a filthy drug addict the way that they did to Rush Limbaugh? Can we strip him of all credibility and demand he be persecuted and prosecuted? Can we have a SNL skit where he's drunk and running over Will Ferrell?

He has no memory of the incident on Capitol Hill. If he has no memory of the incident, how could he insist yesterday that he "did not ask for any special privileges".
Or, that he did not drink any alchohol.
How can he refute any witnesses that come forward?
I don't wish anything bad on him, just to receive what he deserves.

It would be a shame to let the press use double standards when they hammered the VP for "waiting so long to come forward". /sarc The media has been covering for him all day and making excused

Will the local DA here in DC seize his medical records and investigate charges of doctor shopping? As the old saying goes, "what's good for the goose . . . " Actually, the Kennedys have (or did have?) a vacation compound in Palm Beach.(in fact was it not the scene of the alleged rape by Patrick's cousin a decade or so back?)Nonetheless, all the Kennedy scions are known to spend a great deal of time there ministering to the needs of all the underpriveleged trust fund babies there. So the venerable DA who investigated Mr. Limbaugh will of course be expected to pursue doc-shopping charges against Swimmer Jr. as vehemently and tenaciously as he did in the Rushbo's case. I understand he's already preparing to issue subpoenas for every MD in his jurisdiction regarding just this very matter.

No, but my son who is 13 did take Ambien, sleep walked, then hallunciated, heard voices that told him to hang himself from a noose he had made. He didn't remember any of this afterwards. So it is possible. He is guilty in the fact if he drank alcohol ontop of this medicine he intensified the effect. Anyone who takes this medicine knows not too. I'm not trying to make excuses for this guy, but to give a better understanding of his condition.

I saw that too. He's obviously lying through his teeth. He needs to step down. Two accidents in three weeks; giving a detailed description of what happened, then changing his story and saying he doesn't remember what happened.
Enough is enough.

LOL. Oh, that right, why mess with success, they can just dust off the old script, make a few edits and run with it. Besides, I understand they're all notorious tightwads so its a win/win.

I am thinking that in Washington...it is just as dangerous to say something negative about the Kennedy's as it is the Clintons...
however, that doesn't exonerate Joe Scarborough...he jumped the shark a LONG TIME ago..

He has to be on anti-depressants to treat the bi-polar disorder and his depression. Just because he didn't mention it doesn't mean he doesn't take them. He would be totally out of control and not be able to function IF he didn't take those. His excuse for the incident was pain killers. He said he was addicted to them.
Antidepressants was the second excuse, right after the abdominal/sleep medication excuse.
He's had three excuses, but decided to choose the Rush defense, because it was the safest - politically.
(He was brain dead dunk.)

"Slurred vision"? I've never heard that before. "Blurry" maybe, but "slurred" is usually speech.

Look, it is conceiveable Patches got on the phone, called a Dr. friend of his and asked him what kind of medication he could claim caused his problem.. The Kennedys never take personal responsibility for their bad actions.
I've taken Ambien and Phenergren (sp). The Ambien caused me to have terrible dreams, and short term amnesia right before falling asleep. I would never give this stuff to a 13 year old, or anyone else for that matter.
The phenergren knocked me for a loop. I can't imagine taking the two of them without passing out within 20 minutes.
Patches is telling a whooper..but he does come by it honestly.

If he spent more time investigating and less time in the make-up chair getting his mascara applied, he'd actually get some facts on his side.
