At the newscast at the top of the hour, George Weber reported that Teddy Kennedy has cancelled a scheduled book reading for schoolchildren in Brooklyn, NY, where he was to read his A Dogs Eye View of DC because of extensive media interest.
Weber closed the segment by noting that the name of the Senator's dog was named "Splash"...

Kennedys will be keeping a low profile the next few days. At least no innocent party drowned in this incident.

Truly amazing, the networks are really pushing the Ambian defense, doing segments on sleepwalking ect.
It's truly hilarious, NO such stories would be running if he was a Republican.
It reminds me of Clinton, NO stories on sexual harassment, but tons of stories on how lying is normal, and Ken Starr being a Christian pervert.

Will they instead have a book reading of "There's a liberal under my bed!"
To: bondjamesbond
Incredible how despite the enormous contempt even among liberals those clowns receive from the rest of the country
Massachusetts keeps sending them to Washington.

We have the same problem in PA with Spector -- I think it's because we haven't found anyone better. Or he has a much bigger war chest than the competition.

There's also not the least bit indication of whether someone else was in the car or not.
I'm speculating that there WAS someone else in the car...and that Pat left the saloon with someone who not only will remain nameless but possibly could become extinct.

Pat needs to resign. 10-year-old's are more responsible than this (see paragraph at bottom):

There's are two boxes indicating that he was impaired. One pertained to alcohol. Since no test was given, it would have been the "smell test" that gave him away (together with the statement by the lady at the saloon.
So unless one of the side effects of those pills is "liquor breath", I'd say the dude was drinking and lying up a storm.
Thank you Teddy for being such a stunning example!! (Of what to do if you're "up a creek"....so to speak.)

I have stepchildren ages 27 and 30 and get insights into people that age and younger through them and some of their even younger friends and relatives. Amazing insight #1 here is that "the Kennedy's" mean nothing to them. All the Camelot BS has worn off - and they are not going to continue to get the electoral free pass (outside of Massachusetts, at least) as in prior years/generations. It's time for someone to rather impolitely take on Ted Kennedy and call him out for what he is.
To: bondjamesbond
he was to read his A Dogs Eye View of DCI thought that he was scheduled to read Mary-Jo Sees a Fish.
