ANOTHER KENNEDY COVER-UP?

ANOTHER KENNEDY COVER-UP?

No ... this couldn't be, could it? There is no police officer or police organization anywhere in this country that would ever cover-up for a Kennedy, is there? Naw. It just couldn't be!

Well ... there are some police labor union officials in DC who are a bit upset over an incident involving Rhode Island Democrat Congressman Patrick Kennedy. Reports are that Kennedy's car was running at 2:45 a.m. on Thursday without lights. It narrowly missed hitting a Capitol Hill Police cruiser, then crashed into a barricade protecting the Capitol building. The driver, Patrick Kennedy, exits the vehicle and appears to be stumbling.

OK .. now what does any police department in the country do at this point? You have a car driving erratically without its lights on at almost 3:00 in the morning. The car almost hits a police car and then crashes. The driver gets out and starts staggering around. He says he is a congressman and he is trying to get to a vote! Problem is, the congress adjourned three hours earlier. Now, if this driver is you then you can get ready for your field sobriety test. Time to blow into the little tube! Ohhhh .... but not Patrick Kennedy! He's Ted Kennedy's son! According to one of the Capitol Hill police officers on the scene superior officers did not permit them to perform a field sobriety test. Patrick Kennedy was put into a supervisor's car and driven home.

Yesterday Kennedy was claiming that he was disoriented because of some prescription drugs. Well .. that may be true --- but somehow we rather doubt it. It's easy to make that "prescription drugs" claim after you've had a chance to sober up. Now he says he'll cooperate fully in an investigation. Fine. Let's start with an explanation of how he thought there was a vote in the House at three in the morning.

Could Capitol Hill Police officials be covering up for Kennedy? Well ... let's think about this. First, is there any precedence? Well, we do have that incident with Patrick Kennedy's father, Senator Ted, and his famous Chappaquiddick episode. There have been books written about the extent of the cover-up by the Edgartown Police after Mary Jo suffocated in Kennedy's car while he was resting in an Edgartown hotel room.

America's royal family .... exalted and protected.

I suppose 1 way to look at it is this is a good thing. We are getting away from murder and rape and now it's only a harmless drunk crashing into a stationary object. He is going to have to do better than that. By the way, a Kennedy only making congressman in litlle old Rhode Island? He sucks.

We had 'a day without immagrants' the other day, maybe we can have a 'day without Kennedys' rally.

Next time the world might not be so lucky; one more reason to avoid D.C.

Regardless prescription drugs carry warnings and if this idiot is smart enough to be in Congress he should know it is a violation of the law to drive while under the influence of drugs. There is no real difference between being influenced by alcohol than it is with drugs and he should be charged with the same. It is a Cop out and cover-up from the Kennedy's as well as from the police supervisors.

I wonder if Kennedy will now owe these union cops some favors in return, for their "kindness"?

The representative of the Capitol Hill police this morning said that the officers smelled alcohol on Kennedy. This is not about prescription drugs and I am surprised anyone is falling for it.

This will 'evaporate' just like McKinny's assault 'evaporated'. RATCongress 2... Capitol Police 0.

Is it just me, or has the Klan taken over this country?

There is an article in www.newsmax.com showing this is Kennedys 2nd accident in three weeks. Same old crap these people make laws and thumb their noses at all other Americans. It appears the officers on the beat wanted to handle it differently but their supervisors overrode them. I think this within itself is at least a violation of police policy if not the actual law.

Well at least he didn't kill anybody in the process. Sure hope he doesn't the next time.

According to FNC this morning, the initial Capitol Policemen the showed up smelled alcohol on his breath.

Must be new "Dewars flavored" pharmaceuticals.

You know, kind of like the bubblegum flavored kiddie stuff.

If he was wearing his seat belt, then it's a shame. Perhaps the next time this happens they won't be and will be doing 70 mph somewhere and this hypocrisy will resolve itself.

Why 98% of America simply doesn't detest the entire Kennedy family is beyond me.

No one is. Only the sch-media is. We all know they're not "falling for it" either, they're simply trying their best to "make it the truth."

What a blight on this nation, the Kennedy clan. From Joe on down! Criminals, liars, and now slobs. Ted has got to be a modern biological phenomina. Autopsies of him and Mick Jagger when they kick the bucket would be very interesting.

Gotta be honest here, if he had killed himself it wouldn't have altered the mindset of my morning one bit.

Yeah, but with 'ole Fat Teddy and Patrick both in the same city it greatly increases your chances of an "encounter".

Clearly, the acorn didn't fall far from the tree.....

I can't say the same. The wall-to-wall sympathetic coverage of yet another untimely Kennedy death, taken in his prime, cut down in his youth, only the good die young, etc...would have me gargling $2.95 gasoline to get rid of the barf taste in the back of my throat.
