In the leak scandal that led to five indictments for a top-level White House official, reports this week cite that former US Central Intelligence Agency employee Valerie Plame was allegedly following Iran's nuclear activities before her identity was revealed.
Democrat Party Senator Frank Lautenberg, in a letter to CIA Director Porter Goss, asked for an evaluation of the harm outing Plame has caused.
In the letter, the Senator reminds Director Goss of recent news stories which report that before Plame was outed, she participated in intelligence works on the Iranian nuclear dossier, and her subsequent outing gravely jeopardized the US ability to monitor Iranian efforts to obtain nuclear arms. If this is true, disclosure of Plame's identity risked American national security, Lautenberg warns in his letter.
Plame is a WMD (weapons of mass destruction) expert and the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson. A few days after her husband asked for public justification of the Iraq war, Plame's identity was leaked to the press in July 2003, forcing her retirement from the CIA

She was doing a great job considering she was letting her husband go around the nation LYING publicly about his report on Niger, telling the American people there was no threat when there was a threat. (acid sarcasm off).
I wouldn't trust this chick to do anything more important than pose in her pajamas. Am I the only one who thinks there is something EXTREMELY bizzare about this woman's behavior, both inside and outside the CIA?
Who would pose in a car in an obvious spy spoof when they work at the CIA, and then pose for a cover in her PJ's when she is in the middle of a serious issue.

If Valerie was working on WMD it explains why the CIA has not been able to find their ass with both hands for the past 10 years or so.

I have not heard that she retired because of this (or for any other reason)
I've always been in the minority though thinking that she may have had an asignment that we didn't know about.

Yes! Hmmm. Maybe the movie, Domino, was about her! ...or even Catwoman.

I don't buy that 2003 bullsh$t for a minute. See Plame's cover has actually been blown for a decade

Lautenberg on LeakersSenator Lautenberg's legislation would, for the first time, empower whistleblowers to pursue their case in court instead of having to go through the cumbersome federal bureaucracy. This bill extends whistleblower protections to National Security Whistleblowers and Federal Contractors. It would make the worst cases of whistleblower retaliation a criminal offense, and would hold those who engage in prohibited personnel practices civilly liable.
I wonder who he considers whistleblowers... I would bet some have harmed national security, but if they've also harmed the President, then Dems approve.
