Yesterday our son called from Morehead, NC to let me know that the USS Austin had arrived in North Carolina!! Morehead City, NC ... Marines from Camp Lejeune have been using this port facility for many years. Embarked on deployments and returned to Morehead City several times while part of Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Atlantic, Camp Lejeune, NC.

To all the responders to my mothers post about my safe arrival home:
Even though she couldn't be there herself to welcome me back, it's good to be back here in the states. Thank you all so much for your support. It's good to know that there are so many people out there that support our troops. I just wanted to extend my thanks and gratitude to each and every one of you. Thanks again.
