Liberals will continue to the point where they try to rewrite the Holy Bible....reality does not fit their agenda.

Steyn Ping!
It’s truer to say that these days patriotism is the highest form of dissent—against a culture where the media award each other Pulitzers for damaging national security...

Wow. THAT's where it came from. A made-up Jefferson quote. Steyn is great. Hugh Hewitt has him on regularly. He is a joy to listen to..

Once a doofus, always a doofus.

"'This is not the first time in American history when patriotism has been distorted to deflect criticism and mislead the nation, warned Senator Kerry, placing his courage in the broader historical context. No wonder Thomas Jefferson himself said: 'Dissent is the greatest form of patriotism.'"The Far Left talking heads and mainstream media pundits will, we can be certain, pick up on Kerry's ignorance in attributing this non-Jeffersonian statement to Thomas Jefferson! Not!!!!
Had Bush or Cheney said such a thing, they would be derided by pundits and late-night comics as well. Don't expect that treatment for Kerry, however.
Speak of "distortion to deflect criticism and mislead the nation"!
Kerry's been doing that since the 70's.
To: Paul Ross
The fake Jefferson "quote" is indeed fake- but it is accurate- Howard Zinn said it a few years back.
Sourcing it from Jefferson removes the stench of communism.

I snorted out loud when Kerry quoted the Bible during the debates as having said, "Thou shalt love the Lord with all your heart, body and soul."
Um, here are the scriptural words of Jesus: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30)

Well, perhaps they are borrowing some propoganda tactics: "repeat a lie often enough and people will believe it"

Yes he does. I now read my National Review starting from the back page.
Sorry Florence, but Steyn is King.

Its truer to say that these days patriotism is the highest form of dissentagainst a culture where the media award each other Pulitzers for damaging national security, and the only way a soldiers mom can become a household name is if shes a Bush-is-the-real-terrorist kook like Cindy Sheehan, and our grade schools claims to teach our children about America warts and all has dwindled down into teaching them all the warts and nothing else. Lordy, what a beautiful sentence. BTT.

Is that the way one's hand looks after throwing a pass?

break a nail
soil my new designer jeans
have to make a dive catch to be manly
muss my hair
have to re-tuck my shirt
have to put down my zinfandel

Is there a ping list for Mr. Steyn? I love this guy!
To: Paul Ross
other famous Kerry quotes: "I regret that I have but one fictional Jefferson quote to give for my country"
"now is the time for all great windsurfers to come to the aid of their country"
"these are the times the try men's plans, but I have a plan"
