The Minutemen will be starting the first leg tomorrow, led by FReeper Lyman Stucky's patriotic pace car. We want the borders sealed!
Allegiance is not an option!
Citizenship Requires Allegiance--
if you refuse to pledge and prove Allegiance to
The United States Of America and OUR Flag,
Where, WHERE, IS your Allegiance?
-- FReeper Lyman Stucky (The Spirit Of Allegiance), May 1, 2006
Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. -- Theodore Roosevelt
Hi, Fellow Americans and Neighbors. I'm glad you're here.
I own and drive The Spirit Of Allegiance car, set to depart Los Angeles May 3, heading for Crawford TX and then to go on to Washington DC to demand that President Bush and Congress seal our borders and ensure our sovereignty as a nation, physically and spiritually, One Nation Under God. The Pledge of Allegiance and the situation on our Republic's borders are very much connected. Spiritually. And Patriotically. Our nation's borders have to do with our nation's sovereignty physically just as much as the Newdow and other God-hating atheist cases have to do with our acknowledgement of God's sovereignty spiritually
A little background is important...and it all ties together...
This site was launched in 2002 to fight Michael Newdow's anti-American attack in cahoots with certain treacherous fellow-traveler Marxist judges who have not thrown his cases out as being frivolous and without standing.
Here is the Pace Car that will lead the way through Crawford and on to D.C. (JimRob won't be in it, but would you like to be?)
Wonder if the Minutemen would like some company on their trip to D.C.? Are they inviting tag alongs?
Take care, my FRiend. But should we hear of or run across you in the future, we'll know you as Lyman with The Spirit Of Allegiance.
<< >>I love the Gitmo Limo...cool...
JimRob rocks!!!!!!!!!<<
I think of Gitmo as a neccesary evil, not something to be celebrated and certainly not something we want to bring up in the context of the peaceful and legitimate work of the Minute Men. >>
You are, of course, absolutely right, on that point.
And you are also quite likely mistaken.
On the scale of things those represented at Gitmo and with whom we are engaged in some American-Servicement-intensive fiddling about in Afghanistan and in Iraq are as likely as not but a distraction from the ever-accellerating actual invasion and actual hostile colonization that is hidden from us in plain site and of which, on Monday, we caught but a tiny glimpse.
And it is, I believe, by recognizing and by honing in on such differences in our many opinions of the small stuff that our enemies are dividing and are, domestically, led by those elected to represent us and by the effectively "Democrat"-activist permanent feral bureaucracy, very close to having already conquered us.
We Americans will either see this Second American War of Independence for what it is and in black and white terms -- and, once I pray and trust, having seen it, be willing to pursue our total victory.
Or we have already committed 'national suicide.'
Suggestion: Go to http://www.jtl.org/auster and avail yourself of a free PDF copy of -- AND READ -- Lawrence Auster's The Path To National Suicide.
Way to go! Wish I could join you!
Oh THIS trip looks like fun! BTTT
The only reason GitMo is necessary is that the Courts and the ACLU won't let us treat enemy combatants as enemy combatants, or even POWs. They want to give them Due Process (in the civilian courts!) rights and other Constitutional rights. They don't belong to the group known as the People, and they don't have any such rights, visa vi our government.
Sooo we keep them out of the jurisdiction of most of those courts. Holding enemies captured on the battlefield, or while trying to infiltrate our country, is perfectly legitimate.
>>Sooo we keep them out of the jurisdiction of most of those courts. Holding enemies captured on the battlefield, or while trying to infiltrate our country, is perfectly legitimate<<
I don't to detract from such a postive thread about such a good cause so let me just stick with what I've said on the topic and I'd be happy to discuss why I think we need to not equate illegals with Al Quaida on a different thread.
bttt
I doubt the window says that anymore.
Don't worry about it.
It is NOT equating illegals with Al Quaida.
It was a nod to Rush.
Done last September.
Heads up to La Enchi la dita

I am so sorry I have distracted this thread. I thought El Gato was saying that - not that the decal was...
The minute men are doing critically important work, I am very happy to see a Freeper there with them and I'm gonna be quiet for a while to keep from distracting from this postive thread.
Bringing too many issues together dilute the power of any single issue. I don't see a distinct connection between Gitmo and the Minutemen.
I won't be there on Saturday, but I sure like that Cougar!
Anyone you know gonna be there?
So who's equating them? Most illegals have committed nothing more than a misdomeaner. They should be expelled and kept out, but they are not immediately dangerous.
Some of the so called "leadership" of these recent demonstrations OTOH, which have been sponsered by A.N.S.W.E.R, a spin off of the openly communist (and Stalinist to boot) Workers World Party, are very dangerous. However, since most, if not all, are US Citizens, we have to deal with them in the Courts, and we should.
I didn't want you to think I was ignoring your post but I want to take a break from that thread since I felt like my post about the decal and the resultant discussions were taking the thread off track.
And if I misunderstood your post I apologize and will be happy to apologize in public.
Best,
Paul
Lyman is looking to raise funds from a sponsor. A seat or two is available.
I think by re-reading the post I have concluded the Caravan will be in Crawford on Saturday. After all Gilchrist is speaking .
I think all you did was bump the thread, which is good!
BTW, the window letters aren't a decal, they are poster paint which if not cleaned off that very day, would have washed off in the first rain.
I have an ailment, so most likely will not make the scene tomorrow morning. I wish them well though.
