AL Gore bumped into Avenue magazine editorial director Pamela Gross the other day at the Regency, where she told him his daughter will be on the May cover. Karenna told Avenue that during the Florida recount in 2000, "the rancor was overwhelming at times . . . There was this horrible mob outside the vice president's house that was recruited by political operatives. They just kept yelling, 'Get out of [Dick] Cheney's house.' That was really painful and rude."

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di

Here is a link from the old days. I think this is the first time I met Kristinn.

I really love the description of us as a horrible mob.

So?
Regards, Ivan
I have a $1,500 project to do in the back of the house and today is the day to buy the material.
Oh, really? Multiply that "mob" by about, say, THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND, and you'll know how the rest of us feel about these illegal alien protests, dearie.
I'm sure you would have gotten over it by now if your father won. It wasn't the yelling that hurt, it was the fact that in your heart, you knew that they were right, and your days in the Naval Observatory were numbered. Your father was ready and willing to put the country through a Constitutional crisis in order to be President. Thank goodness the Supreme Court -- and Katherine Harris -- put a stop to it.
BTW, D.C. Chapter; did you know you were "recruited by political operatives"?
P.S. Thanks, Connie, wherever you are.
I have been having a lot of fun here in the Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts by saying, with an earnest and serious face, "President Gore was robbed of his promised birthright."
No one seems to know what to do.
Try it on a Liberal.
Sometimes, they have a look that conveys, "This program has perfromed an illegal function and will be closed".
You didn't get yours either? Think we can file suit for it, maybe get some interest on it?
She should be proud as anything that her father saved the world by killing Manbearpig single handed. I don't see her stoked on him because of that.
My family and I were some of the rabble mob outside the West Palm Beach building where the supervisors of elections were doing their pathetic recount.
We were all yelling real loud also.
Can you determine how anyone might have wanted to vote? Idiots.
But man it was fun and we all felt real proud, cept for one brave little old lady who had gore signs.
Come on, Karenna, give us the next course. Tell us how you feel about "Sore Loserman." Then how you felt the first time you heard "George W. Bush is the next President of the United States!!"
Feed the Schadenfreude, baby!
It's fun to see the rat in a rare honest moment. The chant WAS clever. It DID get the message across.
Almost as high as Trixie and the dress.
That was six years ago.
What now?
Here, this helps.....
