This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

Living in San Diego and many people including on this forum
who don't have a clue what we are dealing with here reminds me of those in Europe in the mid and late 1930s who where saying something bad is happening and will the rest of the world hear us.

The ones on this side here illegally are marching toward the border now --- FNC is covering it periodically. Good time to bring out INS and arrest them and shove their sorry *sses back over the border.

The marchers are near the border.
Looks like a large amount of Mexicans but doesn't look
like the over 50,000 I saw here the other week.

When the numbers are not reported, you know it's lower than anticipated.

SAN DIEGO -- A group of several hundred protesters has blockaded all northbound traffic coming from Tijuana to the U.S. at San Ysidro.
Sometime before 1 p.m., demonstrator who had been gathering on the Mexican side of the port of entry spread out across the traffic lanes and halted cars heading to the U.S. Several hundred yards south of the port of entry, other protesters set up other blockades using vehicles.
A large contingent of Mexican police in riot gear that as deployed near the port of entry did nothing to prevent the protesters from closing the border, although they did open the line to let several cars and trucks through. Tijuana police reportedly arrested at least three people for hitting cars as drivers tried to cross the border.
Federal officials in San Diego said that no vehicle traffic was passing through the San Ysidro Port of Entry and that chains had been placed at the head of all vehicle lanes.
About 50,000 vehicles pass through the port on a typical day
Pedestrian traffic was being allowed through the port as normal, federal officials said.
There were no reports of blockades at the Otay Mesa or Tecate ports of entry.

I am going to try to buy a car today (if I can find what I want!) Try shopping at "Car-Mex" on Rand Road in Des Plaines ... I'm sure they'll be open!
