I know some folks who were able to get out of the Pentagon. They talked about the heat and smoke.

And the fellas at GITMO say the prisoners are some of the real bad guys on earth, so let them stay as long as we want.

Except that some future loony-tune liberal president will let them all go citing illegal detention. They may even get cash compensation and be flown to whatever country will accept them.

One of my favorite all time movies was Tora Tora Tora. I always wished they would make more movies like that - documentary, true history, that touched your soul. I love that scene where the Jap carriers are hit and all the Japs from the Flagship run to the railing with their mouths open and looks of shock on their faces. "Who will apologize to the Emperor?"

I was thinking - huh? What he hell is she talking about.
The second plane hits and Couric says " Oh my...yes, it does appear that there is a problem with air traffic control "

President Bush needs to go on publie television and make a global apology saying that Islam is a "peaceful Religion".

If he doesn't, I will not support him on the War on Terror no more.

If he really means what he says about the War and security of the United States, he must.

Islam is not a "peaceful religion". 9/11 proved that. We all know that. It's a cancer and it's spreading all over the world.

I saw United 93 yesterday and I thought to myself, gee, there is a passenger from the UN!

Great film.

I was surprised though, that G.W. was not directly bashed, but I am sure, future movies like Oliver Stoned's will take care of that little detail.

My question is, how long will they wait before lame-stream media starts churning out stories about the poor peaceful Muslims being attacked and hate crime being perpetrated against these Muslims due to the release of this film?

I think they may be afraid to go there until they have some specific examples to cite. Even right after 9-11 this didn't happen except a few minor events.

I think that they will try to knock this down through making whatever negative comments they can to keep people away, and then they will drop it like a hot potato.

Yep, the Muslims were only trying to demonstrate their flying skills, since the the American flying school would not allow them to solo a real airliner! They were about to land safely at a near-by airport and buy all of the passengers lunch, when they were suddenly interrupted by some unruly passengers who were somehow upset by their flight not going as planned.

I did not notice any profanity. Also the assaults on the crew and passengers by the terrorists was depicted only mildly and not completely graphically as could have been done.

I believe that if the child of at least 13 understands the world we live in and wants to see the film, not just as an action movie, but as to learn about history then I would allow them to go with, but be certain to discuss the film with them afterwards.

"Soliciting comments from other Freepers who saw it."

I saw it last night, and I wanted to sleep on it. I've slept on it, and now I want to think about it some more.

I'm tending towards a less-than-glowing review. I didn't like what I saw as overly sympathetic treatment of the terrorists, and wasn't thrilled with the portrayal of the passengers.

Like I say, I want to think about it some more.

Saw the movie yesterday. Generally excellent. I did think, however, that it failed to identify the underlying hatred. I think it requires more than an islamofascist mindset to commit these unspeakable acts.
