In a just concluded debate and press conference, author and FBI Consultant Paul Williams and Jeff Epstein of "America's Truth Forum" reveal they have been advised by Pakistani journalist and Bin Laden biographer Hamid Amir that Al-Qaeda will use smuggled nukes against the US if the US takes military action against Iran.
Amir established his credentials by correctly predicting that Egypt would be hit by terrorist action a full two weeks prior to the events of last week. Amir, a Pakistani journalist, has been in contact with high ranking Al-Qaeda officials for several years.
The debate (between Richard Miniter and Paul Williams) and press conference were webcast LIVE by Rightalk.com. Audio files of both events will be available for downloading by this afternoon.
It's possible the nukes are here waiting for the fresh trigger devices to smuggled across the Mexico border.
You are so wrong. Artillery shells have been made, VERY small, that are 10kt and are simply Uranium 235 gun-type assemblies.
No fancy 'worn out parts', nothing. They didn't test Little Boy design for that reason, and most likely neither did South Africa when they had them. This is the real threat, a 10-20kt non-boosted U-235 gun assembly that can be made as small as an artillery shell.
Well thanks big guy...but did YOU hear the debate. He mentioned why he wrote the book and explained in very believable terms his motivations. And he sounded quite truthful about his motivations...but you do know better and alas I am gullible...YIKES!
A better question,
Why are you posting flamebait on a website you help run?
Why will long time freepers continue to frequent the site if the discussion devolves into what your post inevitably leads to?
You said -- "Nutjob "clerics" who will give their blessing to any harebrained scheme are a dime a dozen in Jihadistan."
They may appear to be "nutjobs" to our way of looking at things -- but -- they do have a "rationale" (although that rationale is evil, from the way we see the world). There are "absolutes" and they are evil as a result of the "absolutes" we have -- which stem from the Bible and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
So, they are evil -- but -- they are *not* without a "rationale" for what they do and without "reasoning" for what they do.

Using nukes on the general population of the USA will result in the complete eradication of islam.
250lbs is bigger than a suitcase, but the design is still feasible and simple. And it's small enough to move around, even if it was 500lbs. Hell, I have a gun safe that's nearly 1000lbs and it's been moved by 2 guys and a dolly!
Are we going to allow the Iranians to get hold of a nuke to militarily blackmail us, the same way the Iranians are economically blackmailing the West with their pitiful oil?
Just to clear the air in the Arabic countries, any move to detonate a nuclear device the the U.S. will result in complete annihilation of all Arabic countries.
Uh....I'm the one who frequently gets flamed for fighting against the Nuke 'Em All crowd. OK, my language was a little stronger than normal, to get on par with this idiot's threat that al Qaeda will nuke us if we bomb Iran. I would like to take out the schizophrenic government in Tehran. WITHOUT nukes. And know most of the people of Iran would help us do it.
You said -- "And we've never "nuked entire countries", so I'm not sure where that question is commin' from."
Well, it's probaby coming from "knee-jerk, armchair, military general wannabees".
All I can say is that it's a good thing that they never "made general".

If a nuke is going to be used against the United States, I expect it to be smuggled onto a freighter and detonated in once in port long before it is ever unloaded.
I maintain that the Bush/Powell/Rice foreign policy doctrine post 911 has been to try to find a way to defeat the Jihadists without declaring war on Islam.
I believe that they have failed.
I believe that they have failed because John Kerry and Dan Rather and Chirac and Putin and the UN and a million others who hate America and western civilization as we understand it (meaning "not socialism") would rather ally with Bin Laden than with George Bush, under any circumstances.
And there are consequences to that sort of failure. And the logical outcome is all out war. They are already waging it against us. As this thread makes clear there are those among us who are not willing to do so against them, declaration or not.
In the age of nukes, once nukes are used, all out war is all out war. No quarter. No civilians cordoned off from harm. No prisoners or Supreme Court hearings over rights of combatants. They've got no rights if they're dead. If we don't kill them then we're dead. Simple, binary equation.
Between you and me, I hope, and I have trust, that the US military will actually do what it takes to eliminate the threat after a 1-20 or worse nuke attack on our cities. I assume Russia may be off limits, but probably not China.
The islamic world will be hopefully be a memory.
I started to write a response but then thought better of it. There is no amount of logic that could possibly correct all the idiotic opinions expressed in your last post.
Bob, he was right. If they nuked us, all bets are off.
They damn well better be.
They will use nukes anyway.
You said -- "hey--I live near NY--keep me out of it."
Well.., to the "nuke-em crowd" -- you're fair game. Sorry to tell you this...

That is a great point. There were reports out last year-on this site that claimed that Osama was looking for and NEEDING a go ahead from a cleric. HE did find some but it was a hard sell. Many thought the attack and counter attack would kill too many of the faithful.
God people-we are doing the worst thing and underestimating our enemy! This is not a chicken little statement either!!
They follow their rules very strictly. Go off the reservation too much and a fatwa would be issued. Please look these things up before shooting them down. Its in the Koran..
Know thine enemy...
