America continues to sour on Bush, Congress(media spin mega upchuck brainwash alert)

WASHINGTON - As gasoline prices have spiked above $3 a gallon throughout the country, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds that the public’s view of President Bush’s job, the economy and the nation’s direction have continued to decline. But with the midterm elections just six months away, the biggest drop in the survey — 11 points in one month — is in the approval rating of Congress, which is locked in a bitter debate over what do about these gas prices, immigration, Iraq and a host of other issues.

“You have never seen such a sour mood in the country,” says Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican Bill McInturff. “It is sour, sour, sour.”

And in that sour mood, the poll shows, registered voters say they prefer Democrats controlling Congress — but by a smaller margin than in the past few NBC/Journal surveys.

According to the poll, Bush’s approval rating fell by one point from last month to 36 percent, his lowest mark in the survey. But the troubling news for Bush doesn’t stop there: Hart explains that Bush has now spent nine consecutive months at 40 percent or below in the poll, a feat exceeded only by Richard Nixon (13 months) and Harry Truman (26 months).

You forgot about the dams in New Orleans. Bush had those blown up as well. </s>

Yeah, unfortunately a good number of folks believe that the President had a hand in making or allowing 9/11 to happen. They're commonly know as LIHOP or MIHOP (Let or Made It Happen On Purpose) conspirators.

If you do respond to one of those threads, be prepared for a flaming at the very least. One rather high profile poster over there commonly threatens physical violence. It's an interesting topsy-turvy world they live in. Visiting DU gives one an insight as to what it must have been like to observe the patients in Bedlam in the 19th century.

That's because I know it never happened. Dubya directed the whole operation from a luxury box at KKKarl Rove's hurricane control center. Who needs a few kilos of C-4 when you have the awesome power of Mom Nature at your command? ;-)

[ The MSM continues to brainwash the minds of uninformed people. Where do they get this stuff? ]

Bush lobbing for makeing multi millions of NEW (VOTING) DEMOCRATS could have something to do with it.. Cause ALL illegal and legal aliens and new citizens WILL be democrats you see..

The only reason democrats are AGAINST Bush is because when they are against Bush republicans will close ranks and support all of Dubyas policys.. i.e. making MORE VOTEING democrats..

Pretty smart of them.. Republicans are oblivious and the democrats and RINOs know it..

How do you say? LIHOP or MIHOP? Isn't Charlie Sheen their supreme leader?

DU is indeed the Democratic Underground.

Make sure you're well supplied with Brillo pads and bleach - you'll want to scrub your eyeballs after reading what passes for routine conversation over there.

Charlie Sheen? The guy in Heidi Fleiss' little black book? Isn't he the supreme leader of MILF?

Right, like you didn't know what DU was.

You signed up today and expect to have any credibility when the first thing you do is come out with what sounds alot like liberal talking points.

Just 'cause I have a few issues with Pres. Bush doesn't mean I like the alternatives better 'n him. Whatever my issues with the President (immigration, spending, no child gets ahead, drugs for geezers, immigration, etc.) he's much better on these things that the Demoncrat alternative.

The LSM seem to miss that.

"I think the Republicans are going down in flames if they don't get right on the immigration issue immediately, even if the situation in Iraq starts to improve. "

This is the way I see it too. I'm not the least bit interested in more broken promises...They either do their jobs and ENFORCE our laws and send these ILLEGAL people that have the nerve to break our laws and then protest in our streets, back across the border or I'm done with them. No more chances for them to do the right thing.

Surely this is not the best you can do. :)
