A terrorism symposium featuring leading experts will begin with presentation of "tangible proof" al-Qaida not only has developed an arsenal of tactical nuclear weapons but also has begun to deploy them for use in its jihad against the United States and Israel.
Paul L. Williams, author of "The Al Connection" and "The Dunces of Doomsday," will present his findings at the National Press Club in Washington at the conclusion of a public debate with Wall Street Journal correspondent Richard Miniter on al-Qaida's nuclear weaponry.
The debate, Friday at 10 a.m., will be moderated by Fred Barnes, executive editor of The Weekly Standard and regular contributor to the Fox News Channel. The public is invited to attend.
The organizers say the event is timely, "with increased anxiety over demands for a pullout from Iraq, the nuclear developments in Iran and North Korea, the failure of our government to secure the borders and our country's fledgling, incomprehensive effort at homeland security."
Epstein believes the majority of Americans disapprove of both the "cut-and-run policy" proposed by many leading Democrats and the "compassionate conservative" approach of the Bush administration, favoring instead a "firm and decisive military action with no apologies to Russia, China, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia or the United Nations."
"I am convinced that the threat we are currently facing from radical Islam greatly surpasses that which was posed by the Third Reich," Epstein said.
Anyone interested in attending, Epstein added, should contact America's Truth Forum at its website or by calling 866-709-3474.
The event offers the following speakers (continued):

You said -- "It would however be the end of the middle east and any other country full of crackpot muslims."
I don't see that it would be the end to any of those countries and their people. However, it should be the end to that *religion* -- and maybe at that point in time -- we would eliminate that religion from anyone's choice and completely destroy it (not the countries and peoples, though).
And also, I would say that -- at that time -- you would see all the mosques shut down in the U.S. (at least) -- and hopefully the war against the religion of Islam would begin -- in earnest.

You said -- "there are many on this forum, that see it happening as an eventuality, the question becomes not IF, but WHEN."
Many government officials are "on record" in saying that a WMD attack will eventually succeed (in that we won't be able to stop 100% of everything coming through). Our government is pretty much *assuring* us that this *will be the case*.

You said -- "..once the N hits they are history"
I have no idea why you think this will happen. The U.S. will never indiscriminately destroy another nation or peoples -- just on the basis that they are Arab or Muslim or whatever. It would have to be a national declaration of war.
A terrorist group "declaring war" is like a gang in LA declaring war on the U.S. The U.S. doesn't bomb LA. They root out the gang. That's what we're doing now.
A nuclear blast wouldn't change the principle -- although it might drastically change the strategy of the war. I would hope it would change the strategy to *eliminating* Islam from the U.S. and also eliminating it from the world. I'm talking about the *religion* and not the people.

You said -- "agreed, that will probably be the response but remember,
this enemy doesn't care if we do nuke them."
Well.., then -- do we nuke Detroit then -- where one of the largest groups of Islamics is in the U.S.?
And then, do we proceed to nuke other U.S. cities where we find Muslims? That makes just as much sense as nuking any other country where you find Muslims.

You said -- "Make no mistake, even if we are brought to our knees we will still have the technology to completely and utterly destroy our enemies."
The problem is that the nukes do not distinguish between your enemies and your friends. You end up killing your friends, too.

You said -- ""Suitcase nukes" are a myth propagated by conspiracy theorists."
Opinions are on the other side, too. So, it's "he said -- she said". Who do you believe. And -- further than that -- it doesn't matter "who you believe" -- but rather, which is the *truth* of the matter. That's the "real problem".

You said -- "If they could launch one about 200 miles up of sufficient power the EMP would do it. Alas Babylon!"
It's been reported that Iran is working on that -- for the U.S.

You said -- "Ask me if I caaaaaaare."
You should have asked him if he "CAIRs"....
He sounds sort of like an apologist for CAIR.

Here's a partial quote from WND's G2 Bulletin....
Speaking as one whose sole job was nuclear war for years, I say.......bullshit, son. Utter, complete bullshit.
Would you STOP that whiny, defeatist bullshit?? What's with you "omg.......a few nukes and the US as we know it is FINISHED!!!" crowd??
We have become such a nation of pussies. You obviously didn't paricipate in the Cold War.
Sounds like a barrel of laughs. My possession of a vast fortune could be the topic of an equally relevant debate.
But when you take along cold look at the scare scenario, you find there are always pieces missing or glossed over.
Logistic, technical support, putting a system together, that sort of thing.
Bump for later reading.
I agree with you. We have become a nation of weaklings. That will be what finishes us if nukes go off. It's not whiny and it's not defeatist. It's the truth. If this were a few generations ago I would rate the chance of surviving much higher. We've raised a generation of self serving, mindless people who without the infrastructure would collapse in a terrified heap.
