RUSH: I'll tell you what, folks, if you doubt that these are treacherous times, you need to awaken. A former Clinton National Security Agency official leaking top secret information for a bunch of reasons, of course, because she disagreed with subsequent policies of an elected president but I also think that there's an ongoing effort here to cleanse the dirt in the Clinton administration to keep it secret, to keep the blame focused on George W. Bush and subsequent administrations after Clinton, and to cover up the Clinton administration incompetence. We are truly dealing with a Democratic Party that is a culture of treason. (snip) This has nothing to do with Iraq. Mary McCarthy is the fourth Clinton National Security Council member to assault the Bush White House. Mary McCarthy was one. Joe Wilson is another, along with his wife, Valerie Plame. They cooked up this phony Niger uranium document scam which now has Scooter Libby facing jail time, and this is interesting as hell to me to listen to people like John Kerry and others, and we've got the sound bites, go on television and talk about how Libby lied and Bush leaked and there was no plan on the part of Iraq to try to get yellow cake from Niger. All of that is lies. It's all true. The liar is Joe Wilson. His wife, Valerie Plame, arranged for him to be sent to Niger to cook up this whole scam.
The thing that amazes me is that the independent counsel, Mr. Fitzgerald, has to know. He cannot be this uninformed. He cannot be this unaware of the facts of the case......

Rush my friend, you know it, and I know it, and most Freepers know it, but the trick here is to get our President George W. Bush to ACKNOWLEDGE it, stop coddling the Clintonista traitors within the government, and clean house from top to bottom!
As long as our President and the Republicans in Congress are still making nice-nice with the Party of Treason, the treason will go on.
It has to stop, or else America will cease to exist in any form we want to recognize.

Since Republicans currently control the White House and both houses of Congress, now would be a good time to address this issue every chance possible on live TV with no filter delay. What good is having the bully pulpit if you don't use it? We are about to enter a critical phase of the culture war(s) and our side is letting the enemy define the terms of battle and their cronies in the mainstream media are their (not so secret) allies. Time to take off the gloves!

Actually, it's been going on since at least when TR betrayed his country to keep Taft from winning and allowed one the nation's worst presidents, Woodrow Wilson to win. The nation has been run by globalists ever since.
Good point...my reference to the Carter era is based on my paying attention to politics (for the first time), as a member of the military, and watching Carter undermine our country at every opportunity. From that point on I watched as the left continued to sell us out non-stop whenever they had a chance!
Me thinks this President has too much "PC" in him, and it has shown throughout his presidency.
Which is why I believe that Vice President Dick Cheney would make such an effective 44th President of the United States.

RUSH: We're discussing, still, Mary McCarthy -- ex-Clinton administration National Security Council staff member in the inspector general's office of the CIA -- leaking secrets, national security secrets, to the Washington Post's Dana Priest who received a Pulitzer Prize for this. The Democratic Party today seems eager to embrace this culture of treason. (interruption) Mr. Snerdley is asking -- (interruption) well, I first heard the story late Friday afternoon, and then into Saturday, and my first reaction, I wasn't surprised. Folks, anybody can sit here and tell you 20/20 hindsight. I've thought Clinton, the Clinton administration has -- I think there's a shadow government operating, and I always have. I think there are -- I know that there are -- Janet Reno's people at the justice department who careered in. They're still over at the justice department. All these leaks that came out prior to the war on Iraq, from the Pentagon to the Washington Post, to the New York Times. I've always suspected, and I've never understood it. I would love to understand.

The Clintons moved dozens of their cronies from political appointments into civil service positions at the end of the Clintoon admin. Bush needs to review every one of these positions and sack these people if the transfer was illegal or questionable. But he's had 5 years to do that, and has done nothing.
Bush II has his father's sense of phony noblesse oblige which blinds him to the treason of the Democratic Party and allows his fits of sentimentality to overrule political principle (illegal immigration, drug benefit, 'no wallet left behind' ).
