IRVINE, Calif. - Several hundred demonstrators from both sides of the immigration issue protested outside President Bush's speech Monday at an Orange County hotel.
With Congress returning from a two-week recess, the speech let Bush relaunch his proposal for a temporary guest worker program. It also gave a venue for protesters in a region where the immigration debate has become increasingly heated.

Under the couch.
Whoops, there it is.
"It seems rational to me and logical to me to say, 'OK, fine, you can come and do a job Americans won't do for a temporary period of time with a tamperproof card."
Hey now; I like my wound-salt with a little lemon juice, thank you. Seriously though; why are the politicians on both sides of the aisle spinning this amnesty at their constituents when they're known to be 75% in favor of enforcing immigration laws? Loud the money talks to those weak in the Force.
Thanks for your help there!
The Muslims sure were upset over losing their cheap lettuce. (sarcasm)
Because no matter how much he (or anyone else) panders to them, it's never going to be enough.
It's easy. Mexico is fighting American to take over our country and become the political leaders. Wonder when the Mexicans take control how many will work for slave wages then? Greed has finally done what no outside enemy could do - destroy America.
You put my checkbook under the couch?
Why?

Thanks, Ron!
God bless our Minuteman heroes and their committed persistence.
They continue to make all the difference!
They protest AGAINST the president because he will not go all the way, that is granting instant citizenship to anyone who sets foot in the US and offering them welfare. Also, because most of the illegal protester leaders are antiwar communists, they protest for those reasons.
You're right!
