Breaking on CNN, Tony plans to take the job at the White House.

LOL.....I am sure he has the hurricane machine hidden about as well as Saddam's WMDS are...
How can Fox not have this. See, he's abandoning his old friends right off the bat. (Yes, I am kidding.)
Also, he can slap down a moonbat with such class of form, that they won't realize it until next week.
No doctor would do that, it would be malpractice!
I HATE LEAKS....
I was really hoping that we would find out by watching Fox, and having President Bush introducing Tony.
Sources say ...
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sources close to the White House said Monday that Fox anchor Tony Snow is likely to accept the job as White House press secretary, succeeding Scott McClellan.
The sources said they expect him to announce his decision within the next few days.
A source familiar with the discussions said Monday that newly appointed Chief of Staff Josh Bolten asked Snow to make a decision by early this week.
Two sources familiar with the discussions said Bolten wanted to fill the post this week, as early as Tuesday.
Sources familiar with Snow's deliberations said he has been focusing on family, finances and his health.
The sources said Snow, who has been battling colon cancer, got a good prognosis from his doctor last week and that Snow resolved his concerns about taking the job over the weekend.
Neither Snow nor the White House would comment.
Sources familiar with the matter said the White House approached the Fox anchor several weeks ago. Snow then met with Bolten and other officials at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Be afraid, moonbats, very afraid.
This is the first right decision Bush has made this year.
Tony laughs a lot....here's PRAYING he starts LAUGHING at the White House Press!! I think that's the best defense...Dick Armey did it brilliantly...just LAUGH at their idiocy!!
I am waiting until the President announces it.
Hope it is true. The best to you Tony.
I am really hoping he will have at least one or two shows before he leaves...
So we can all put in our 2 cents about what he needs to tell the WH press...and President Bush!
hmm, ping
I can't stand that weasel, Kristol. He even defended Rand Beers yesterday.
There is nothing wrong with Scott, on a personal basis. He seems like a really nice guy and did his best. I wish him well.
It's just it takes certain qualities to deflect and triumph over the piranhas in that press room and, imo, Tony Snow has those qualities. Ari possessed them too.
And, unfortunately, it is highly unlikely Tony will be posting here for his duration as Press Sec. Hopefully he returns when his time of service is completed. :-) On the bright side, we'll have a Freeper with the President's ear. Pretty cool.
I wonder if the "news" that Tony is taking the Press job is also a spoof?
Tony told us that the news would come from the White House - and don't ya think that Fox would be the first to let out a leak, if this in fact was one?
Frankly, I'm skeptical that this is true.
I've also been of the mind that Tony wasn't going to take it. He talked with me about spending entire weekends with his children who have never, ever had their Dad for an entire weekend. Remember? I visited him at the DC studios back in February? I told him what my brother used to adivse younger Military folks in the intelligence field - the one thing that no one dies saying is that they wished they'd spent more time at the office! They also wish they had spent more time with their family. Always.
I think that the time it would take out of Tony's life is going to help him decide that he shouldn't take the job.
I know. It's just my opinion.
But I'm still worried that the news story is from the spoofed CNN website and not the real site. I can't get to the "real" page at the website.
Has anyone else gotten to it, and not a site that references the website?
Why would FOX not have this first?????
