South Park, which has averaged nearly 3.5 million viewers per episode this season, affirmed that free expression may at times lead to hurt feelings. But that's no reason to capitulate, especially not when political correctness becomes physical intimidation.

That is true, but there actually is another side here. Censorship through terrorism is evil, but ridicule for the sake of ridicule is philosophically a diabolical form of humor; and I worry that the fight against the former could easily become debased by the use of that type of humor. Humans enjoy such humor not just because it is funny (as often as not it isn't really funny), but because you get a giddy thrill from it.

OPINION: Actually, reading these clickable cartoon jihad links is a lot easier than looking at jihad-related web sites or videos/photos of people blown to bits/beheaded by jihadis. It's also easier than experiencing 9-11 all over.
