the beautiful, historic ME... What a narcissist! Just kidding, I know you mean Middle East. It looked funny at first glance, though. ;-)

More likely to get hit by a car. That's an everyday thing with me. I play dodge-em cars here in NYC! LOL

An attack like this takes weeks to plan and execute. You can argue that Osama's audio tape was the trigger, but some group like al-Qaeda in Iraq had to have planned the attack weeks ago.

Usually not right after (about two weeks) but it may have been held back OR once the cell was picked up, it was simply an order to keep on going and bomb what you can.

FROM THE
JERUSALEM POST: KOINKY DINK??? I DON'T THINK SO:
Three explosions were reported on Monday evening in Dahab, Egypt.
The resort is commonly frequented by Israeli holidaymakers. Zaka reported.

Don't let fear stop you -- it's really very safe from what I understand. More likely to get hit by a car.Honestly I felt more safe in Cairo than I do on the streets of Chicago.
Egyptians LOVE Americans. I never met an Egyptian who wasn't smiling and thrilled to meet an American.
I would HIGHLY recommend a trip to Egypt. And yes, the driving/traffic is extremely dangrous- no traffic rules/regulations/signs/speed limits!!
PS I went to Ayman Al Zawahiri's old 'hood. Felt safe there too.

Glad you're home safe! Darn, I've always wanted to visit Egypt and other places in the middle east. It just doesn't seem safe to me anymore...

"This crater is where the Cheops Pyramid used to be. This other one is where the Sphinx used to be. This crater is where the Temple Mount used to be. These 20 craters are where Damascus used to be." Can we add another paragraph or two to 'Revelations'?

Don't bother going to the pyramids at Giza where the Sphinx is.....it's a tourist trap of the worst kind. And filled with trash and camel poop.
Go to the pyramids at Saqqara instead.

Terror attacks that killed nearly 100 people at several Sinai tourist resorts in the past two years were carried out by a militant group calling itself "Tawhid and Jihad," a name used by al-Qaida-linked groups elsewhere, Egyptian prosecutors said Sunday. "Tawhid and Jihad" - Arabic for "Monotheism and Holy War" - was the name used by the group led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the most notorious militant leader in Iraq.
