Believe it or not when Mrs. L and I bought our last vehicles we had to produce proof of insurance as well as copies of our drivers licenses. It seems a few years back some used car salesslug sold someone a car who's license had been revoked.

The buyer then proceeded to drive off the lot and kill someone while driving recklessly. Our State quite promptly changed the law.

Were I you I'd be forwarding a copy of this 'paper' to my local State Rep with a sternly worded letter demanding your State laws be changed to require that anyone purchasing a vehicle be able to produce both proof of insurance and a valid drivers license.

If they didn't get on board with the idea toot sweet I'd send a few lettters to my local newspapers detailing your Reps refusal to see it that only licensed drivers be able to purchase vehicles.

Just a thought..

burning the Mexican flag is wrong

Note to self: stock up on Mexican flags, lighter fluid and lighters...
Because if La Tribuna says it's wrong, it's probably the right thing
to do.

Isn't it a hoot that the LA Times the Dallas Star Telegram and the Fort Worth Daily News have each purchased or set up Spanish versions of their papers. The LA Times did it as long as thirty years ago. It's called La Opinion.

Anotherwords, the Times was ready to sell out over three decades ago.

In California, a car buyer without insurance must purchase one month's worth of auto insurance at the car dealership before they can drive off. You just know that after one month the illegals drop it like a hot potato.

No credit, no citizenship, no driver's license required. I found that funny for some reason. I probably would have found it a great deal more funny had not two of the last three people to ram my car in traffic been illegal aliens with no insurance and no right to be here.

I don't know anything about Texas law but it would seem that if the dealer knowingly sells a vehicle to someone who does not have the legal right to drive on our roads while illegally residing here (not just on "vacation") that the dealer just maybe liable in the case of an accident. I think I remember certain anti-second ammenders that have tried to bust out the firearms manufacturers when a criminal gets hold of a gun they had legally produced and sold. The business is probably illegal also so they probably don't care - it will all be like the wild wild west once Mexico reclaims "their" land. /sarcasm

Well, do they get Texas license plates for the car? And is the car registered to purchaser?

In most all states it is illegal to turn a motor vehicle over to an unlicensed driver.

If the dealer gives a vehicle to an unlicense driver to drive off the lot, they have commited a crime. (ususally a misdemenor)

If the illegals gets into an accident before stopping, the dealer better have good insurance.

The same thing goes on here in Los Angeles. On the bright side, the dealerships who finance these cars usually charge an outrageous amount of interest and add-on charges. Basically, the dealers are screwing over the fools who buy cars from them.
