We had our first meeting for 2006 at Kruez's BBQ in Lockhart, Texas. Hopefully someone will be able to post some pictures of the eat and greet and Earth Day flag burning soon!
We enjoyed meeting a lot of new folks and hearing first hand accounts from some new area freepers relocated from New Orleans.
We will be planning a May meeting and hope to have the details out soon. It may coincide with a freeper opportunity so keep an eye out for the announcement.
Also, we elected a nominating committee to elect new officers for 2006/2007. Hopefully those will be presented at the May meeting.
If you attended and wish to post other comments or pictures please chime in. We missed a lot of our active members but they were out being active freepers! Hope to see everyone at the next meeting.
Thanks!
If you guys can ping others it would be appreciated. Also, some pictures would be great!
Since I took a lot of photos, I will be glad to email them to someone who has the know-how to post them. Just freepmail me with an email addy.
Thanks for getting the thread up, TXBubba. Here's hoping that other folks who were there will add to it!
These are fairly large, so I didn't want to hotlink them all and they're not mine, so I didn't want to resize them.

Thanks for posting the photos for us, MG. I hope someone else got some better shots and will post them.
Hey, it was great meeting everyone of ya'll, I look forward to many more commie flag burnings..........
TheEarth Day article that I read is:
Earth Day Is Lenin's Birthday Coincidence or Communism?
My flag burning photos didn't turn out that well and it looks like we already have a great pic of Lenin burning. May the flame beneath him burn ever hotter.
Does that place do take out...I'd reimburse the postage.
"Does that place do take out..."
Yes, indeed, they do - one especially recommends the jalapeno sausage:

Better yet--come on down and get some fresh! It's been a while since I've seen yore purty face around here!
Hi Basil. Just came across this thread. How have you been doing?
Hi, Basil!
I met you at a Ron Paul BBQ at Surfside Beach a few years ago. I hope all is well with you. We are living in Southern Calif. this year and we are searching for REAL BBQ. We can't find it here. We have decided to make our own. We have an excellent recipe for marinade and also for the homemade BBQ sauce. We bought a little smoker grill too.
Take care! Keep on Freepin!
Barbara
You're right--decent BBQ is hard to come by out there. I recently had to spend about a month in Sacramento. The first thing I wanted when I got home was some really good BBQ!
