Mexicans See Immigration As Inevitable
By MARK STEVENSON The Associated Press Sunday, April 23, 2006; 11:51 AM
ATOTONILCO, Mexico -- They name their babies Johnny and Leslie, so certain are they that their kids' future lies in the United States. Returning migrants sprinkle English into their speech as they talk knowingly about job markets in U.S. towns.
America may want to stop illegal immigration, but most Mexicans accept it as a fact of life they can't imagine changing.
Mexico's economy, society and political system are built around the assumption that migration and amnesties for undocumented migrants will continue _ and that the $20 billion they send home every year will keep coming, and almost certainly grow.
In fact, the government is counting on continued cash from a Mexican-born U.S. population it predicts will rise from 11 million to between 17.9 million and 20.4 million by 2030.

A proposal in the Mexican Senate last year that would have kept migrants away from particularly dangerous border crossings when temperatures soared was denounced as doing the United States' "dirty work." It was withdrawn.
This is the Mexican Invasion of the USA.
Look at Mexico, Central America and South America and you will see what our country will be like in 10 years.
The anarchist like LA RAZA AND REQUONQISTA will take over the USA and turn it into a 3rd world country.
Look at Hugo Chavez and you will see what our future government will be!
Too bad for them.
They have zero, zilch, nada to say in the matter.
All the more reason, also, to begin deporting them now, no matter how long it takes. They can deport themselves at any time, but since there's no statute of limitations, they will be deported, sooner or later.
If the have minor American "citizens", they can choose to put them up for adoption, or take them on the return trip. When the kids reach adulthood, they can apply for return with conditions.
Mexico better be careful what it wishes for. If there's an amnesty and another wave of "family unification", a big chunk of their population will come here and for those families there won't be any reason to send money to Mexico.
Mexicans See Immigration As Inevitable
The Federal government has the responsibility to change that pargigm with fierce enforcement of immigration law. The majority of people want it to happen. But alas...
pargigm...oops...paradigm.
I assume that the people in this article aren't of those groups. La Raza and company are the ones protesting with Mexican flags, I suspect these people in the first few sentences of this article might even immigrate legally. La Raza wants to destroy our national identity.
Has anyone suggested, yet, that we annex Mexico?
Someone suggested the other day that Wal-Mart buy it.
Again, let's settle the mud out of the water so we can see clearly: Distinguish, please, between LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigration, AP.
"Has anyone suggested, yet, that we annex Mexico?"
Yeah, a caller in to the Mike Galhager (sp.?) talk show this week. I heard it last night, probably as a weekend re-run on WDTK, Detroit.
It might get too much like West Germany being re-united with East Germany. It almost broke them.

... alas, our esteemed representatives in Washington only answer to the talking dollars. Lots of dollars.
Well, I have for a couple of years now, but if you mean by someone important, then no.
Yes, quite a few people have suggested that. I dislike the idea because I don't want to take on any more of Mexico's problems than we're already stuck with.
beaversmom: Someone suggested the other day that Wal-Mart buy it.
That's an idea I could go for. Vicente could become a Wal-Mart greeter after his term as president ends.
Confuscious says: Whatever you idiots do, don't ever, ever let your invaders become voters.
lol, the nation of Wal-Mexico.
