Mexico better be careful what it wishes for. If there's an amnesty and another wave of "family unification", a big chunk of their population will come here and for those families there won't be any reason to send money to Mexico.

There is ALWAYS more family in Mexico. The only way to put a dent in it is to:
1. Build the WALL!
2. Deport illegals when they show up. No police searches are necessary, they show up in hospitals, schools, are stopped for driving without licenses or insurance.
3. Go after companies who hire the illegals with heavy fines, and perhaps prison terms to repeat offenders.
4. Require proof of legal status before ANY public services are delivered.

To handle the required labor in the US a legal fast track green card should be issued AFTER a background check is performed. Priority should be given to those families who have children who are US citizens who's parents have been deported. No minor child would choose to be separated from their parents if they are deported. In these cases the families could be back on a legal basis in 2-3 months. Immigration could set realistic numbers of workers who would be allowed to come to the US each year.

THINK ANYONE HAS THE GUTS TO DO THIS?
