Those who disagree with the Bush administration's policies in Iraq face the same scornful charges that they are unpatriotic as Sen. John Kerry did 35 years ago when he spoke out against the Vietnam War, the Massachusetts Democrat said Saturday.
"I have come here today to reaffirm that it was right to dissent in 1971 from a war that was wrong. And to affirm that it is both a right and an obligation for Americans today to disagree with a president who is wrong, a policy that is wrong, and a war in Iraq that weakens the nation," Kerry said to a standing ovation Saturday at Boston's historic Faneuil Hall.

I am with you. Tall trees and short ropes for the traitors like Coward Dean.
Here is why:
Our troops are trying to build a relationship with the Iraqi people. We are asking them to show us where the bad guys are. Coward Dean jumps up and yells, 'we need to pull out of Iraq! YEEEEEEHAAAAAAW!!!!'. Well, the first thing the IRaqi people ask us is, Al Quada will kill me and my family if I cooperate with you and I don't know if you will be here to protect me. Coward Dean's actions hurt our troops and helped our enemy. Hang him for treason!

The right to dissent can be patriotic. But when dissent is all you seem able to offer, that is when people begin to question the reasons for your alleged dissent. Is your dissent predicated in some deep seated, set of moral beliefs or is it rooted simply in the fact that the President doesn't wear the same color jersey as your team? Are you truly concerned with making good decisions for the country or just ones that are good for you and your political allies? Given Mr. Kerry's track record and history of standing on all sides of the aisle at least once, many of us have come to the latter conclusion.

And WHAT have Republicans Reps done? What have Conservatives Reps done? What have Republicans/Conservatives in the public done?
Nothing, ZERO.
Except eat each other alive, giving in to those who rule us thru polls and propaganda.
I am disgusted.
-
Hate to say this, but you are being snookered - by those polls.
Bush is not reviled. He's respected by quite a few of us, but we're at the same time *irritated* at his seeming blindness to the fact we're right now losing a sizable portion of the southwestern United States to a methodical takeover by "reconquista" Mexicans - who come here not to assimilate (as Bush seems to believe, for whatever unknown reason), but to repopulate what they see as their land.
That 35% approval rating is no different from it ever was - except now there's a bunch on the right fed up to the point where they're no longer hesitating to tell anyone who will listen - that they don't approve.
That doesn't mean they don't respect. It doesn't even mean they won't support.
They just don't approve.
Wonder how many posters right here, that describes?

He owns property in France... I suspect he is mansion shopping in Tehran as well.
Good, then we have reason to carpet nuke both places.
Hey, do you think us folks on the right want to be polarized with the commies on the left, like Kerry? Please, don't do ME the favor. I will not polarize with him or his kind. I will not call them patriotic. Kerry and his kind are traitors . <----period

Opposing Kerry is also patriotic.

Maybe I 'm misunderstanding your post but I hope you aren't really that defeated. Kerry and the wackos can blather all they want but people like us just keep fighting back. There is no honor in defeat and we will Not be defeated .History will show this is a just war and President Bush did the right thing, Patriots WILL give our troops the heroes welcome home...much positive has been done and continues to be get done. Let the media and these Anti-American so called leaders continue to spread their self-aggrandizing propaganda,it means nothing unless we surrender and stop fighting back.

Nice timing s'Kerry.
Also in today's new:
Iraq's new prime minister promised Saturday to swiftly finish building a unity government after parliament elected a top national leadership, ending months of political deadlock.

John Kerry once again slams American troops- Check it out-
"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the-of-the historical customs, religious customs."
