Clearly those who put forward the "problematic" scenario were right. Would that George W. Bush had had the foresight to understand what he was getting himself into, but foresight is not his forte.
A politicized intelligence agency is what is worthless. The president - any president - needs the most accurate information he can get to make the proper decisions.
You bet. W should've cleaned house upon arrival. His first mistake was not taking his enemies seriously.

Guess who has a book coming out? Tyler Drumheller. "On the Brink : How the White House Has Compromised American Intelligence (Hardcover)"
We can preorder it though. Imagine that.
Sigh.
How can you say this was a problematic scenario? There were WMD. See FR keywords WARLIST and PreWarDocs. They are all posted here.
"The White House had embraced a British report that Iraq had purchased 500 tons of uranium from the African nation of Niger, allegedly to restart its nuclear weapons program."
No, the British claimed that Iraq had shown an interest in buying uranium, that's all that Bush put forth.
Facts are dangerous things.
Yea, just did a google search on Tyler Drumheller and found all kinds of articles.
Oh, brother. It just never stops, does it? It almost scares me just what lengths they will go to lie and undermine the government.
You nailed it!

I don't get this. Can't we file some type of criminal charges? The left always uses lawyers to get their way. We need more legal brains on our side. Why can't we file some type of charges against these retired officials for lies or slander or something? We need to do more than sign petitions and freeps.
We have enough docs posted here for evidence. We can we do to proactively fight back?
Regardless of whatever Bush had done and regardless of whatever would happen, there would always be CIA officials who could say "we warned him about that!"

This is the type of action I was speaking about on that Murtha thread we were on. I know we didn't see eye to eye on the Murtha situation specifically. But I know you understood what I was talking about.
Can't we take more aggressive action?
He was told by plenty of people including me. He's a hardhead.
I agree big time.
Hi, Calpernia. I don't know what can be done beyond making sure we e-mail friends and family and news outlets the information we have about these deplorable people and the agenda behind their actions.
That's not to say there isn't more to be done; I'm just not sure what we can do personally. But I'm open to suggestions :-)
Me too. We really need more legal input. Don't we have lawyers in our FR Network?
You can't purge permanent civil service employees. You can only purge political appointees.
