BROOKSVILLE - From his seat in the audience, 76-year-old Charles Wingrove wagged his finger at Sen. Bill Nelson and explained that illegal immigrants undermine the American dream.
The Vietnam War veteran railed for five minutes Tuesday at a town hall meeting at Brooksville City Hall about the need for tougher security at U.S. borders. When he was done, the audience erupted in applause.

And that is so not true! Americans have proven that they are demanding security that's why we voted in the tough on security Republicans!
They better not cave now and prove they really aren't tough on security by giving away America by passing amnesty or passing the Mccain/Kennedy horrid bill just to pander what they think is to the mexicans and to the lobbyists. That lobby money won't sustain them when they lose their cushy jobs.
And stop insulting Americans by saying there are jobs Americans think they are to good to do because that is a lie from hell. It's not that Americans wont do the jobs Americans are being disciminated against for the jobs and the greedy employers are hiring illegals over an American and continue breaking laws, RICO, not paying taxes, paying below minimum wage. Case in point, ever walk by a construction site? You would think it was a scene from Mexico.
I know it covers two groups. However, it is the last part that sticks in your craw and stays with you. It is designed that way.
And why does President Bush want to make them legal? Seems to me that he's no better than McCain on this issue.
I don't think you have heard me say any of the things you have ranted about. Show me the links where have said "And stop insulting Americans................
The Republican party is done... you can stick a fork in them. Between their abject failure to control the border, their ridiculous spending spree in congress, the increasing burden on the middle class, their Medicare prescription drug bill and Bush's endless wet kiss with Mexico's Fox... they're DONE.
I have sent letters to those in Congress and the general response is: "We're looking into this... American people... secure... american dream... blah... blah... (time for golf)..."
I am tired of 'offering suggestions'. Even the biggest signal sent in years, the formation of the Minutemen, hasn't sunk in (they're "vigilantes" according to our president). I'm telling you my friends, NOTHING will be done about the border unless we flatly threaten these people with losing their jobs. Tell them straight up: If you don't solve this you'll be leaving Washington DC. I am SICK of getting raped by the IRS every single year but getting no representation in DC.
It's time to play hard ball. That is the ONLY thing they will understand. There has been enough talking and 'discussion'. Threaten them with real consequences. Get it done or get the hell out of the way.
You misunderstood I was directing that comment at our politicians, the entire post was geared as a memo to our politicians. Sorry if you thought it was directed at you.

If officials took campaign contributions from said illegals, this could be characterized as extortion, and/or bribery, and a violation of the Hobbs Act.
The Hobbs Act was used recently to nail four TENN state legislators and their aides in an extortion scheme. The TENN groups was arrested under the federal Hobbs Act, charging extortion, conspiracy to extort and attempted extortion, and accepting bribes as an agent of the state.
The Hobbs Act covers extortion by public officials, as follows: 2403 Hobbs Act -- Extortion By Force, Violence, or Fear

I'm sorry this group is just a minority of malcontents. The latest Zogby poll says so.
Illegal Democrats.
Here in Texas illegals vote all the time - remember the Democratic passed bill in the 93 or so: The motor-voter law, where anyone applying for a drivers liscense can signup to vote.
Heck in Texas you can register your dog to vote, now if I could just teach him to press that little electroinc screen button instead of trying to lick it instead. Maybe I should just ask for an absentee ballot for him instead ;~)....
The republican Pols are just not smart enough to see the opportunity in this mess.
If republicans enact legislation like H.R. 4437 that secures the border, punishes employers, demands that illegals return to their home country, etc. all the republicans will vote for them, a significant number of democrats will vote for them and about 40% of the hispanics of whatever party will vote for them.
Hey SB, I was just telling Em that I heard on Talk Radio today that ALL voter's on both sides want to elect an entirely new Congress, the last time this happened was when "Xlinton" got in...we best be careful but Yeah the right idea, vote 98% of them gone!
