These clowns just aren't funny anymore

In the mayoral debate on Tuesday night (as to differentiate from the one Monday night, or the one Tuesday morning, or the one Thursday night), [New Orleans Mayor] Ray Nagin finally said something that made me stand up and cheer.
He said: "I'm tired of listening to this crap!"
Finally, Ray. Something all of your constituents can relate to. That's a start, a first step toward fulfilling the campaign promise you have plastered all over the city, to "reunite" New Orleans -- although I think it would be fair to ask: Whose intemperate remarks have served to divide us lately?
No more questions, your honor.

I channel surfed this "debate" last night. And everytime I stopped by for a minute some guy was saying, "this is a civil rights issue". NYC got money for 9/11 we got zero "this is a civil rights issue". The clock went off early leaving him with ten seconds less than the others, "this is a civil rights issue".
New Orleans deserves these fools.
NYC was the victim of a terrorist attack, an act of war. The only thing NO was a victim of was its own shortsightedness and stupidity.
Evidently the definition has to include more than nine zeros.
Logic never enters their train of thought. Only emotions. It only has to feel right to be right in their minds.
One of the most on the point remarks I've heard this week is that candidate Ron Forman is the most qualified for the job since he's had years and years of experience running a ZOO!
The author asks, "How do we escape this political nightmare that we brought upon ourselves?"
You don't, buddy. Your doomed with this cast of characters and now the rest of the country is going to watch you maybe put the same bunch back in office that the country's been laughing at for 8 months.
The only thing that could save the Chocolate City is a benevolent dictator....maybe King Honore I. Other than that they've proven time and again to be incapable of governing themselves.
Pull the plug on NOLA

Right! Anybody who can run a zoo can run New Orleans. Do you see the connection?
There's federal contracts to repair roads and bridges, Federal grants to repair levies. There's grants to repair the airports, etc.
Although I live next door in Jefferson Parish and have no dog in this mayoral fight, I am greatly disappointed with Nagin after his (to put it mildly) poor performance after Katrina. One of his "best" lines following the hurricane was during an interview with a local TV reporter, when he stated to the effect that, given his open criticism of President Bush, he was afraid the CIA was going to knock him off.
You have to admit it, that was a gem!

Must see video parody of Mitch Landrieu and his dynasty.
Hilarious!

Thanks!
One wonders sometimes who deserves the crown for rotten politics - Chicago or New Orleans.
New Orleans often gets more interesting to watch, though.
"Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends,
It's easy to attend, Come inside, come inside...."
