In a stunning setback, the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ defamation suit against Andrew Whitehead of Anti-CAIR has been dismissed with prejudice.
The Anti-CAIR website, www.anti-cair-net.org, reports a “mutually agreeable settlement,” the terms of which are confidential. However, Whitehead notes that he issued no public apology to CAIR, made no retractions or corrections, and left the Anti-CAIR website unchanged, so that it continues to post the statements that triggered CAIR’s suit. Specifically, CAIR had complained about Whitehead calling it a “terrorist supporting front organization … founded by Hamas supporters” that aims “to make radical Islam the dominant religion in the United States.” It also objected to being described as “dedicated to the overthrow of the United States Constitution and the installation of an Islamic theocracy in America.”
That clears the decks; no additional actions are pending between these two parties. In brief, Whitehead won a sweet victory, while CAIR suffered a humiliating defeat.

The entire article is worth a look.
Thanks for posting.
Hey CAIR, now that you've lost the lawsuit, you will find it increasingly difficult to hide the fact that you are a bunch of radical terrorist supporting islamic theocracy nuts who whis to overthrow this great Republic and take away the rights of half the population. I hope your goats don't suffer to much as you take your 'frustration' on them.
Go get 'em Dano...
It will be interesting the see whether the MSM continues to promote CAIR as a legitimate voice for American Muslims.
Ha!
"Hey CAIR, now that you have lost the lawsuit, what are you gonna do?"
WE"RE GONNA BLOW UP DISNEY WORLD!
CAIR is evil.
I find it a bit strange that Whitehead was represtented by Greenberg Traurig LLPs Washington, D.C.
Have a look at this:
Four former Greenberg Traurig lobbyists besides disgraced former colleague Jack Abramoff took improper side payments in violation of company policy and have been referred to the Justice Department, a top law firm executive has disclosed.
The four other lobbyists now being questioned are Kevin Ring, John Van Horne, Michael Smith and Stephanie Leger.
Ring is now a lobbyist for Barnes & Thornburg in Washington and still represents Indian tribes. Van Horne started a two-person Washington firm called GHT Law. Smith is a lobbyist for Cornerstone Government Affairs in Washington, and Leger now works as the Washington-based director of federal relations for Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco on hurricane recovery issues."

So instead of going to jail, they just change names or companies?
I think I'm going to print and frame this article...

bump for later
He was much more diplomatic, and careful.
The problem is simply that if Islam's scriptures are to be believed any Islamic group has some pretty fundamental problems along the lines described by the Anti-Cair site.
I suppose CAIR could have given up being Islamic to distance itself from the Koran, but what would be the point.
Attack the messenger?
BUMP!

Hey Troll,
Thanks for confirming what we already knew: that this ruling really hurt you and your pals at CAIR.
Have a nice day!
(steely)
will do.
Dare I suggest that the tide is turning?: PETA got smacked down in their suit against Ringling Brothers, the commie (tenured?) professor that destroyed that display of crosses (Washington state?) is forced to resign, and now CAIR runs out of court with its tail between its legs, wordlessly acknowledging that the anti-CAIR statements are factually correct.
